We went there last Saturday night without a reservation and only had to wait a few minutes despite the place being packed.
The food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient.
We will be going back.
We tried the house specialty: Moqueca, a Brazilian seafood stew, one made with fish and another version made with shrimp.
Both were extremely tasty and well prepared, cooked in a clay pot and served with fish sauce and rice.
We also started with the house...salad with hearts of palm, which was very good.
The house flan was a perfect way to end the meal, very rich creamy and with a dark caramel sauce.
Very good friendly service as well. Located not far from Inman Square.More
Came on a Saturday night without a reservation. Seated in just a few minutes. Not quiet but not too loud. Fast, excellent service. Everything we had was awesome. Had mussel appetizer and mariscada with flan and truffle for desert. Food was perfectly prepared and tasted...very good. Prices were quite reasonable and portions generous.More
We have been to Muqueca a couple of times and the food is consistently good... I must truly say that they probably adapted the cooking a little to the American taste, but they didn’t compromise anything.
We tried the Casquinha de Siri (crab cake), bolinho...de Bacalhau (cod cake), coxinhas, muquecas, bobó, maricada... once again all good enough to take me back to Brazil.
Service is also extremely friendly and efficient.More
Being a Brazilian out of the country for a while, I was craving some good moqueca. Hence I couldn't resist going to this place when I heard about it.
The place is quite simple, which is fine. The service was extremely friendly, as you would...expect in the best Brazilian restaurants.
The moqueca helped placate my desire, but was not really "the real thing", as you would find in a good restaurant in Bahia or Espirito Santo. That said, for a moqueca in Boston, nobody should realistically expect the real thing right?More
This is a very good spot for a business lunch if you work around Inman Square in Cambridge. I do, and have enjoyed the varied lunch menu, complete with decent vegetarian options, very much. The mint and pineapple drink is to die for.
