The western boundary of Somerville in the confines of Porter Square is an emerging hub of cool, but how exactly that translates on the ground is a bit challenging. One of the few examples of culinary diversity here is the Passage to India, which offers reasonable Indian fare right across from the subway station. The place does a good job... More

vindaloo was watery and without much seasoning, there were hardly any potatoes or chicken. i won't go back.

Ordered veg Biriyani, Dal Makhni, Garlic Naan and Tea. Biriyani was nothing but porridge and I had to return it! Dal Makhni was nowhere close to Dal Makhni and was plain simple dal which I managed to eat with the Garlic. Now coming to "TEA". I was taken aback knowing that they do not know how to make tea. What... More

vindaloo is one of my favorite dishes. i ordered "extra hot" chicken vindaloo. even though it didn't necessarily have the depth of favor, it was pretty yummy. i would recommend this place to locals.

I am from Montana- land of the gastronomically starved. When I come to visit my daughter I eat here approximately 4 times during the week I am here. The food is so flavorful, reasonably priced and comes to the table quickly. Even now I am mourning that I won't get it again til May.

Attentive and helpful service. Tastefully seasoned and well portioned meal at reasonable price. Limited parking is available in back of the restaurant...a little difficult to see the sign to the narrow alley way.

I hop on to many Indian restaurants here and there and came to know about this restaurant which was quite near to my place. I went there, the owners greeted me with amazing hospitality and then I ate one of the best Indian foods I've ever had outside India. It was an amazing experience and I would love to go... More

I've ordered takeout maybe 5 times over the last 10 years, and been disappointed every time. I really don't know what it is, but the food just doesn't taste that good. There are plenty of other places within a couple of miles. My longtime favorite closed a few years ago, but Kebab Factory is pretty good.
