A few of us stopped in here for lunch recently. Food was OK, nothing special, but certainly not bad either. The appetizers were better then the entrees: the steamed dumplings were small, fresh and delicate, and the Golden Bags crunchy and tasty. I tried the 9-tastes pad Thai, which was OK, although kind of bland. Service was fast and friendly, would consider returning here for lunch in the future.

Tried to book a table for 12 and was told that it was not possible - 'walk in' only. Arrived at the restaurant at 7.30 PM and they had a table for 8 but cramped 12 chairs to the table for 8. We had the meal in very cramped and noisy atmosphere.The floor was very sticky as if someone had spilled a large portion of gravy on the floor. The gents toilet was even more cramped. Gratuity of 16.81% was charged without any authority. The only reason for this restaurant to attract customers may be because the food is good. If you can put up with all of above for good food, then it is worth a visit.

close to authentic Thai at home. Great service. Perfect location right on the main street of Harvard area. Most importantly, reaonable price!

The restaurant server was racist and rude! I went there around 12:30, and he told me that I had to order from the dinner menu because it was more expensive. At the same time, he took a lunch order from another table. Despite the food being really good, I would never suggest this racist restaurant to anyone!

The server was rude. If possible, I’d give it negative star!! The food was okay.when we were paying, We were about to select a rate for tips, then the lady pressured us said “just choose one”, no one wants to be pressured, we selected no tip, then she asked “why no tip?”. Should we have said your food is mediocre, server is rude? Probably! But all we said was well, that's by choice, right? Or else it wouldn't be displayed as a choice. Right? She then began to talk in Thai to her coworkers to intimidate us. We turned and asked if she would pressure us to choose to tip her if we weren't asian. That's just the worst service ever existed. Never going there again and wouldn't recommend anyone to.

This was a nice enough restaurant, with appetising looking food and reasonable service but the food was very disappointing when we came to taste it. The Tom Yam soup was a massive quantity of noodles in a very sweet liquid with a good quantity of shellfish which had no taste whatsoever. There was very little spice to make it interesting. When we told the waitress why we had left most of the meal, she told us that we should have asked for it to be cooked 'Thai Style'. What is the point of going to a Thai restaurant and having to ask them to put a bit of flavour in the food?!

This little eatery is in the heart of Harvard Square. It is adorned with a green awning but not for that you would miss it. The staff was great and the food exquisite. The thai rice with shrimp and lettuce wraps are large shareable portions.

My wife and I spent a few days in Boston in June 2019. We had a couple of dinners in the North End, and lunches in several places all over the area. Our best meal, though, was at Nine Tastes in Harvard Square. The atmosphere and service were fine but nothing remarkable, but the food was outstanding! Before the fork had even reached my mouth, I knew this was going to be amazing!
I ordered the Kai sup kra pow minced chicken dish (spicy), and my wife ordered the chicken and broccoli (non-spicy). Both of us agreed that was the best meal of our vacation, topping even the two dinners in the North End. It was also the least expensive meal by far, so tremendous value.

I found a piece of sharp, twisted metal wire in my food. The waitress took the wire away without comment and did not offer to bring me me a new dish. No further action was taken by the staff. I paid and left. This could have led to a serious injury if ingested.

Really middling thai food - meat (I've had both chicken and beef curries here) is of a noticeably low quality, and the flavors weren't too exciting or spicy.
Most dishes are overpriced. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and can feel claustrophobic, but it's really the lousy food that should keep you away in the first place.
Service is something between par and subpar.
There are not a lot of good thai options in the area, but my recommendation would still be to skip this spot. I'm not sure how this place has been in business so long, but I'm guessing the lack of food options over the years and the location has helped them. However, as a bunch of great new spots have opened up in Harvard Square over the last year, I think most diners are better served elsewhere.

It was a great experience to have Thai food not in Thailand but Boston. I am a person who loves eating and cooking spicy tastes and must have one spicy meal daily. I stopped by because I made a day trip in Cambridge area. From the food appearance, it didn't look like what I ever have in Thailand. But its taste was just right for what I was longing for, not too oily and salty. Although, it was not as spicy as I am used to but the Prik Nam Pla (Thai traditional seasoning) could help to adjust the spiciness level. It made me to visit more than once the other day. The place was fully packed with people but yet I still feel home from the second visit. It is a friend indeed when I am alone in foreign country.

My daughter took us to the restaurant on Saturday night which apparently is the most busiest night, even we have booked the table, we still have to wait a little while. Food is good but could be more spicy. The service is alright but could be more attentive. The place is not big, so my advice is, book your table if you want to eat there and order fish dish very fresh and juicy.
