to the fish bowl express lunch thing. Excellent bowl, chowda, seafood casserole, and soft shell crab. You pay but it is great, if you are into seafood.

I love Legal Sea Food and took my grandson here since we were touring Cambridge. We were there for an early dinner but the service was just OK. The softshell crab appetizer was a little overcooked but the taste was very good and the salad...More

I have dined at several Legal Sea Food locations around Boston, and the food is always great, but it took forever for us to get service last night at the Cambridge location. The Wellfleet oysters never disappoint and they have some great wines at reasonable...More

Since fishery is such an important part in the history of Boston and surrounding you need to take a visit into local prepared fresh food of that kind. LSF is a great starting point for that!

You can walk here from MIT, and so this place is always booked, so call ahead for a reservation. For parent weekends call 3 days ahead for a reservation. We always went earlier around 5:30 or 6 and it wasn’t as crazy. It’s pricey, but...More

Unless you like low quality frozen food, I recommend to go elsewhere for sea food (not sure where at this point). I ordered a Lobster bisque that was very thick, too thick to have been bound with cream, I suspect with corn starch, or an...More

Legal has been around Boston my whole life and whenever I'm in the mood for a terrifically, delicious lobster roll and bowl of chowder, this is the place to go. Although I have never been to the Cambridge location, it did not disappoint. And extra...More

There is one Legal Sea Foods immediately next to The Charles Hotel in Cambridge next to Harvard Kennedy School and not too busy so I could easily get a shaded table on a leisure afternoon. The food selection is about within expectation with selection of...More

My wife and I ate here with friends as a party of four, early evening. We didn't have reservations, but were seated straight away. The place is very big, with an army of staff, all of whom seem very busy, but there was very little...More

This is the first time I have been to this restaurant. My friends in Boston treated us to dinner. The food was excellent. The best crab cakes I have ever eaten.

The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish. It’s a scientific fact that seafood is the healthiest protein, so it’s no wonder that Legal Sea Foods located nearby MIT and a whole catch of biotech office buildings in Kendall Square would be such a popular lure. Our restaurant, steps from the Marriott Hotel and convenient to Cambridgeside Galleria shopping and the Museum of Science, reels in residents and tourists alike. We’ve received a boatload of accolades including “Most Popular Boston Restaurant” (Zagat, 2012/2013), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Improper Bostonian, 2010), “Best Chowder” (Boston Magazine, 2010), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.
