This tiny place off Central square is among the very best in Boston and at any price, though it's very affordable (cash only). The rose petal lemonade is unique and refreshing. Get the couscous which is the real deal. Best of all, there are ample vegetarian offerings, many even vegan if you ask to leave off the small dollop of... More

Cherbet lemonade is delicious and refreshing. Appetizers work well as tapas to share. Chicken tangine is excellent. Note, they do not serve alcohol and only take cash. Only seats for about 20 people.

One of the neatest spots in town. You feel like you're a guest someone's living room. Excellent ambiance and excellent food prepared right next to the dining area. Loved the hummus and fig bread appetizers. Salmon and lamb were both excellent. Good Moroccan mint tea, homemade lemonade, and tasty chocolate cake. I always bring out of town friends when they're... I've been to the Baraka cafe for dinner several times and enjoyed it, but recently I went there for lunch. I love the food, and the atmosphere, and was happy to find that it was just as nice for lunch as it is for dinner. Nice size portions of delicious food, in a calm relaxing place. Remember it is cash... More

The food was unbelievable good. It is a very small place and my two friends and I eat there on a Saturday night. No one was there. We ordered the food and received first class service.

It may seem to be out of the way on a residential street in Cambridge, but Baraka is a few blocks' walk from Central Square and well worth the visit. The food is very special. We had chicken tagine, lamb couscous and melkha, stuffed eggplant (vegetarian). Plus an appetizer of fresh dates (on the stem!) with labne cheese. It's small,... More

While the food was good we waited much too long for everything, it is very stuffy kind of musky and just very very dark as a whole. Would have been better if they opened a window and had more then one server working

First of I love going to ethnic restaurants and am always looking for interesting new places to try. We came around 8:30pm, the tiny restaurant was still very crowded. After a short wait we were able to sit down. Service was good and three of us decided to eat a mixed grill sort of plate. (Merguez, lamb sausages and chicken)... More

The quality of the food was inconsistent. The appetizers were wildly overpriced, e.g. dates with goat cheese for $7! Dates were nothing special and the goat cheese was actually Greek yogurt, inexplicably. The Couscous was pretty good but the chiclet brochette was dry and stringy. I ordered the M'Katef, lamb chops in a very nice mint sauce, which was quite... More

We were ignored for 15 minutes when we first sat down. Service was poor. The food was unusually spiced and interesting. It was so hot and dark In there, that I couldn't wait to leave. They only take cash. It's not a place I'd want to go back to.
