I had the Fish and Chips. It was very good and tasted a lot like Fish and Chips. I also had clam chowder. It was a little on the tepid side. Could have been better. Washed it down with some stout, and it made a real Boston experience. Reasonably priced pub food.

We were a big group at dinner after a one-day conference (free dinner for presenters). We were given a choice of starters, main dish and dessert. The portions were huge and everything was absolutely delicious! The salad for starters was almost like a main dish. I had salmon, others had steak or chicken or risotto. Dessert was cheesecake or something... More

The fish and chips was delicious. It was November, but warm enough to eat outside and it was fun to watch people going by as we ate. The servers were efficient and friendly. A great place to eat if you are in Harvard Square.

We had lunch there while visiting Harvard Square. The service by Jeffrey R was very efficient and professional. The food was fine but not great. The ambience is great and is located across from the university.

If you are planning to have lunch at this place, I recomend you to stay away from the bar. The man who was at the bar was very rude. He asked me if I decided what I want to eat just after he gave me the menu. Besides he had wanted to take my plate before I finished it. Than... More

Popped in for a quick pre-theatre meal, and we were seated quickly, served attentively, and enjoyed our early dinner before the usual crowd of diners arrived. Always a high energy place, with an active bar scene and sidewalk seating to people watch if the weather allows. Many celebrations and happy people seem to be drawn here, as well as students... we went here for lunch on the recommendation of a Harvard tour guide. Super friendly and prompt service at the bar as we waited for a table, which was available before the drinks were delivered. The bartender brought our drinks over and the server was pleasant about returning since we took awhile selecting our choices. My partner had meatloaf and... More

Three of us ate here today and we all ordered the burger. It's excellent. Perfectly cooked, nice size, good brioche bread, plenty of fries and salad. I arrived early and our server was friendly and patient. Will definitely return when in Harvard Square.

I really like this place, they have good food and drinks. My favorite so far are the fish tacos, sometimes they are not in the menu, but it's one of their best. The pizza with the mushrooms is also really good! Usually crowded, make reservations if you have a big party.

Mediocre at best but very few dining rooms near Harvard Square. Food was cheap and lacked taste or finesse. Medium rare steak ordered without butter came with butter and was replaced with well done steak (with butter scraped off). Bathrooms need attention. Wouldn't be back by choice.

Description
Opened in 1996, Grafton Street Pub & Grill has been a beloved institution of Harvard Square for almost two decades. This neighborhood hotspot is named after the spirited cobblestone-lined shopping district in Dublin's famed Temple Bar area. Grafton Street deftly combines the warmth and coziness of a traditional neighborhood pub with the aesthetic of a contemporary restaurant. During the summer months, guests can enjoy al fresco dining on Grafton Street's spacious sidewalk patio. The restaurant offers full bar service and boasts a seasonally-changing wine list with over 75 varieties, as well as a robust selection of craft beers from several local breweries.
