About
"FRESH FROM THE FARM AND HONEST TO GOODNESS HOME COOKING"Henrietta’s Table opened its doors to a diverse and adoring public 20 years ago. In that time the restaurant has come to be the dining room of Nobel laureates, celebrities and New England Farmers. The Charles Hotel’s Executive Chef, Sean Lizotte, helms Henrietta’s Table and has designed a menu of "honest to goodness New England cooking."Henrietta's Table has been at the forefront of farm-to-table dining since before it was a trend or a hashtag. Located in the heart of Harvard Square, you don't need a degree to appreciate our simple, homemade flavors - just like you'd find in Grandma's kitchen. The Ritz cracker crusted scrod, Yankee pot roast and warm grain bowl are some of our guests' favorite dishes. Our menus rotate daily based on availability from our local farmers and artisans, pushing our chefs to constantly create mouthwatering dishes that let the ingredients shine.

We ate here for brunch during Dine Out Boston and had a lovely experience! The patio is first come, first serve but we made one of the first brunch reservations so we were able to eat outside on the nicest day of 2021 to far - 73 degrees in April!!! Everyone was safely distanced outside and the waiters wore masks. Hand sanitizer was readily available as well.
The Dine Out Boston special was an amazing deal and worth every calorie. For Brunch, you received a starter, entrée, dessert…for $28! To drink, we had Henrietta’s Brunch Bubbles: bollocini prosecco, pitchers of fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, fresh squeezed orange juice and pear juice for $35. Real fun way to spice up the standard brunch mimosa. I had the baked oysters to start, which had spinach, panko, and a balsamic glaze. Delicious, and very filling for four oysters! I had the hash as my main meal (house smoked salmon, poached eggs, preserved lemon hollandaise sauce) and a maple walnut pie with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. My mom copied me and had the exact same thing.
All in all, we were both so impressed with the food, service and beautiful weather! The restaurant should consider an ongoing three course brunch special because I usually don’t get three courses for brunch but I’m so happy I did and would definitely go back!!

We had dinner here on Saturday evening for five people. We were all coming from several locations and it was a convenient location to meet. I also have a gluten allergy and reviews indicated that a gluten free meal could be safely had here. That proved true, but the experience overall was decidedly mixed at best.
My wife and I both had steak and while mine was cooked well and was good, my wife's was quite tough. One of our table guests had good duck, but another had bland chicken. We ordered three sides as well. The roasted potatoes and beets were both good, but the brussel sprouts were bitter and almost completely uncooked. Two of us started with potato leek soup which was the highlight of the meal... really, really good. Only one chose to eat dessert, a chocolate bread pudding and indicated that it was good.
Beyond the issues with food was our service. Drink orders were taken quickly, but then a delay of about twenty minutes happened before our meal order was taken. Then almost an hour wait started until our waiter asked if we'd been served our food yet (!!!!). At our "no" he said he'd check on it and the food arrived about 15 minutes later. We never had anyone check on us except for that one instance and no refills on drinks or drink orders ever took place.
I don't believe that I can recommend this restaurant. Too expensive for this level of food an service. We will not be returning.

Birthday breakfast outdoors on crisp early Fall morning. Lovely large patio, flowers everywhere, tables widely spaced. Enjoyed malted waffle with sausage and classic one egg with ham and cranberry toast. Quick, pleasant service from masked waiter. Actually everything was perfect, worth steep prices—except the coffee, which tasted old, bitter. Convenient parking at Charles Square garage was $12 for two hours.

We checked into the Charles Hotel after a long flight. We went to check out the hotel and then have dinner. At 6pm the restaurant, Henrietta's Table, had a long line, though half of its many tables were empty. We were made to wait, and couldn't help wondering if there was some discrimination there, since we were two women.
We finally were seated. The food as we watched it go by looked delicious, But we were both incredibly disappointed in the baked tofu with fresh vegetables and grains. It was bland, the vegetables were hard to find, it was very unsatisfying, We had a bit better luck with the desert, mixed berry pie. The service was also very slow and not helpful.
Breakfast is served in this restaurant for the hotel guests. We returned again. The food looked good. It was better. The service though, incredibly slow. We were almost late for a meeting. It is restaurant service, rather than buffet. We recommend putting in a buffet for the working crowd.
In spite of this, we do, however, like the hotel!

Very pleasant place for a dinner with friends. Food is consistently good. Service is attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is conducive for good conversation.
The menu has a nice range of mostly comfort type foods: baked fish, pot roast, etc. Fairly typical New England fare. All nicely prepared. Not very challenging to the palate but tasty and reliable. Decent portion sizes. Great restaurant for those who aren’t comfortable with exotic foods or food preparations.
The food won’t knock your socks off but you will leave satisfied. Prices are reasonable.

This was completely average. It was overpriced for the quality in service we received. I understand the service can be difficult at this time however the quality the food was completely average or less than average for the area. While nothing was bad nothing was extraordinarily and nothing should’ve commanded the prices that they were charging

We came for dinner early on a blustery stormy night last week. We were one of the first parties seated in an empty dining room and were put in a very drafty place. A kind waiter told us that it was the coldest table in the restaurant and suggested that we move (why were seated there to start with?). Despite being local I had not tried this restaurant in many years because of disappointing experiences. This was another one. I had the special salad which was supposed to be roasted pears and feta on local greens. The odd thing was the tiny slivers of pear were not only not roasted, they were not ripe and the feta tasted very odd. The duck however was very good. Another in our party had the grain bowl which he bought was just okay. Drinks were tasty. Overall the menu looked good but just doesn't deliver on expectations. We wish that the Charles had kept Bennedeto which was really excellent!

Well located in Cambridge and a nice place to stop after exploring Harvard area. Lunch menu was quite adequate with choices for all. Service was quick and attentive. We found a foreign item in one dish, removed it and informed and showed it to the staff. As it was a small matter we kept the dish and turned down their offer to replace it. We didn't expect or ask for it but the restaurant took it off our check.

Benn coming to Henrietta's Table since it open over 20 years ago. Incredible chefs, wonderful food, guaranteed to be the place to take out of town guests for a great Cambridge/Boston eating experience.
Went to H Table for a big wedding anniversary last Saturday evening. The wait staff was outstanding (Kevin), but the food was practically inedible. My special porkchop was filled with fat, the dessert old and stale, the cucumber salad with a special dressing was inedible, my wife's salad - her main courses incredibly boring - only the cranberry bread was up to par. .

Sunday brunch a mixed-to-positive experience. The pancakes were superb. However, the chicken plate wasn’t satisfying at all. It offered a very small piece of chicken, a stale corn muffin, cole slaw and a cold potato salad. The chicken portion should’ve come with something warm, instead. Disappointing, to say the least. Overall, a limited menu for brunch (they wouldn’t even make eggs).

The concept of this restaurant is great and I really wanted to like it. We were staying in the hotel and I thought this restaurant would be a plus. Service was fine, but the food was. . . bad. Not fresh. Eggs were poorly prepared and did not look or taste like fresh eggs - a bare minimum for a restaurant that markets itself as farm to table. The worst was the brown avocado on the avocado toast. Definitely not fresh. Really unappealing and definitely not what you expect for this price point.

The HT Panini is great, as is everything on the menu. I've been here 3 X in the last year, and the service is spectacular - they will accommodate even small "tweaks" to the normal ingredients.
Can't wait to return!

Overpriced and disappointing. I guess with high expectations seeing where this restaurant is located. I was disappointed. Servers were friendly although pushing bottles of wine and not glasses. So we all had to have the same wine. Grain bowl is nice. Brussel sprouts were ok I have had better. Then we were totally put off our food when a mouse appeared on the ledge heading towards the grill area. We watch a staff member get up and plug a hole but no cleaning of the ledge or checking for waste. When I asked her, and I believe she was the manager, she would not acknowledge it and said “the incident is under control.” It made me stomach churn and then to not check if there was any mess up there. Shocking! Did not even say anything to the customers of apology or comping food. No ignored it. That really concerns me as what else are they ignoring?
After that we left. Very disappointed

Amazing pancaces and other baked goods. Great breakfast choices. Yes, the staff is sometimes slow, but that is expected in todays environment where many do not want to work. Henrietta's always provides a consistently good experience.

Open space with. Many round tables, cozy booths at the back. Semi-casual - great service though this time I was disappointed. Our Senegalese waiter the previous two times was really outstanding. Food fresh, good quantities, delicious.
