I have been going to Border Cafe for over 25 years since it first opened and I worked in Harvard Sq. When my kids were growing up, this was the place where they wanted to go to celebrate the first and last day of school. They are grown up and we moved away but visited when ever we were in... More

I was here with 4 friends for dinner and I really appreciated the food. The only problem we had is that the place was crowded, and we were sitting quite close to the entrance. It was so noisy that it was almost difficult to talk with my friends, less than 1meter away. I've been told that at the other floor... More

Border was quite the hopping place on a weeknight. Seems to be a big pull for the local college kids, but there were plenty of us past that age. The food was really good, service was friendly, fast and helpful with the menu since it was our first visit.

I will preface this by saying I am from Texas and am very particular about my tex-mex food. The food here is OK, I had the enchilada. I think the quesadilla, which my friend had, would have been much better. The margarita was also OK. The service was good. It is a big place, so we were seated almost immediately... More

People seem to be happy and the walls have fun pictures. Everybody including the waiters and waitresses were smiling. This is definitely a place to go for any occasion!

Margarita (s) were great , food delicious my favorite was soft fish tacos , but everybody in the family were happy with their choice(steak fajitas, blackened salmon salad) Chips were hot and fresh , salsa very good Plenty of food , if you don't want black beans and rice also delicious they can give you yummy vegetables

My young kids loved Border Cafe. The waiter was awesome and kept the chips coming. The atmosphere was fun, and my kid keeps asking when we get to go back. Definitely get the small cups for your kids, though, because the normal glasses are about 1/2 gallon. For real. And I could have easily split my meal with one of... More

We stayed 4 days in the Boston area, and were astounded by how bad the food consistently was at even top-rated places. This was by far my favorite, with creative and delicious Cajun/Mexican dishes. I did the popcorn shrimp, gumbo, and Cajun catfish; plus a margarita, which were all perfect. Be warned that it will be packed, as they are... More
