Dinner was so delicious that we came back the next day to have it again! Our waiter, Mehedi, was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed with no wait. He helped us with our selection and made suggestions and accommodations for us....Overall the experience was very pleasant and we would recommend anyone who visits Chipping Campden to have dinner here.More

Had the best lunch at Maharaja. Lovely setting with nice views of park or street. Great menu, including large selection of vegan and vegetarian options. Our group tried the vegetable and tofu jalfrezi, vegan saag paneer (with tofu and coconut milk instead of dairy), and...an okra dish. Every dish was perfectly flavored, came in generous portion, and was some of the best Indian food I've had. Also loved the onion kulcha bread. The service was great, so courteous and friendly. Yes, the prices are somewhat higher than many local Indian restaurants. But yes, it's worth it!!! Will certainly be back.More

Sometimes after a week of lobster rolls and trendy cocktails you just crave a good chicken tikka masala. We had a quiet and comfortable lunch here in this second floor restaurant overlooking a nice park. Our teenage daughter said the mango lassi was excellent. The...saag with chicken was also so flavorful, and the portions were so generous we had enough left for my lunch the next day.More

We visited this restaurant when we had a craving for Indian food whilst visiting Harvard. The location is good - panoramic windows looking over a small park although the entrance into the restaurant, which is on the second floor, is not completely obvious. We eventually...found our way in and so glad we did! The food was delicious - we had the Shrimp Saag and the shrimp were huge, succulent and plenty of them. The Chicken Tikka was lovely too and came accompanied by dhal of the day and rice. A very enjoyable lunch experience which I would not hesitate to recommend.More

It is nice restaurant in Cambridge area. The location and ambience is great. It is within walking distance from the Harvard Metro stop. Staff is friendly and service is great. They aim to please their customers. Do try their Biryani - served in a great...way and stays warm as you enjoy portions of it.More

While I love Indian food, and enjoyed their cuisine, this restaurant committed an ethical blunder. Their delivery menu includes drink options, and I ordered a passionfruit martini along with my food order. The delivery driver advised me that they were not, in fact, able to...provide drinks with orders, and promised me that the $15 would be refunded. Since then, the restaurant has ignored my communications and has demonstrated a lack of interest in honest and open customer service. While I enjoyed the food, and am grateful to live in a place with cuisine and people from around the world, having lived abroad for years, this is unacceptable service. I note that they still haven't modified their delivery menu, and it almost seems like a scheme in order to convince customers to pay for drinks that will not be subsequently refunded. I, at least, was unaware of this policy, and don't understand why I should be punished for engaging in clear and honest communication.More

We were at an event at the Harvard Kennedy School and wanted something spicy. Both of us are married to women who do not like spicy. This restaurant delivered the extra heat that we ordered (you do not have to). The service from 5 different...people was all attentive and pleasant. Nice to sit by the windows. We stayed a long time and they did not rush us.More

Our family came away all saying probably the best Indian cuisine we had ever had. All the meat dishes we ordered, lamb and chicken, featured high quality , tender cuts that were plentiful and well prepared. Great atmosphere with tremendous street views. Portions were large...enough that we got to enjoy it a second day ! Can’t wait to go back!More

The Maharaja serves an excellent Saturday Buffet with quite a few vegan options. It is one place you can go we being vegan does not cause you to suffer. It also has quite a pretty view from the second storey floor to ceiling windows.

We visited this restaurant for lunch on a weekday. We did not make any prior reservations but were given a table straightaway. They had a lunch buffet option or A la Carte. But it is quite obvious that buffet option is cheaper than the A...la Carte. But you can always check if you are happy with the buffet options, if not opt for A la Carte. Being a vegetarian, we opted for the buffet option as most of their dishes were vegetarian. I loved the food choices and the taste was very good. Would recommend the buffet option. The reason I gave only 4 stars instead of 5, I am a vegetarian who doesn't eat egg but the naan breads had egg in it. So I requested if I can get the egg free version of some breads. But they told me to order that separately and pay for it on top of the buffet. Wish the restaurant accommodated people's dietary/allergy needs.More

There are a number of restaurants within walking distance of Harvard Square. This may be the only Indian restaurant; if it’s not, it’s still the only one that matters to me. I have never been so pleased with the food in a restaurant. The service...is excellent and friendly, which is also important. I appreciate that the owner also stops by every table to greet the customers and ask their feelings about the food. If I had had a problem, I would have been honest about my negative comments; instead, I was excited to tell him how I loved everything. I fell in love with the menu and the tasting of the food proved my suspicion that the food here must be what food will be like in heaven. The spices are delicious, even if I had to decline the heat. My recommendations are the Mulligatawny, the paneer kulcha, and the lamb curry. But, the lamb chops are a MUST TRY. The melt-in-your-mouth- tender lamb chops, properly seasoned and marinated are an absolute delight. Ordered directly from the menu, I was happily satisfied with my options. My dinner guest was also very pleased with her meal.More
