This restaurant offers an extensive menu. The food is excellent. I can't recommend it enough. Service is terrific. The value is exceptional. On the day I visited there was no air conditioning in the middle of a heat wave. But the food made it worth staying.

On the second floor, this restaurant has big glass windows that look out on JFK St. and so-called Winthrop Square (the postage-stamp sized park near Peet's and Grendel's). Lots of natural light. We went for the buffet lunch. In addition to salad, naan and pakoras, there were three vegetarian entrees in the mix. I found the seasonings fine but boring,... More

while i was studying at Harvard , this was one of the places i visited frequently to have some delicious Indian food , the good thing is that you can place the order late at nights and then pick it up. since we were students and had a valid student id we get a student discount in this restaurant.

We ate here while visiting Harvard. The buffet was delicious and the buffet price of 13.95 (8.95 for tweens) was reasonable. This restaurant is highly recommended.

Read lots of good things about this & it's location. Location is indeed central but decor and ambience is dated with brown /cream tablecloths & a random assortment of flooring. The piped music reminds you it's an Indian though there is no attempt at room or table decor -(not even the normally predictable table candle!) - so a little soulless... More

We had been there a few time before there was a fire incident in the restaurant. The restaurant was thereafter closed for some time. We always liked the Indian Vegetarian food there. We recently Visited and were happy to see full scale working. We ordered the following food- Nargisi Malai Kofta Maharaja Dal Makhani Bread Basket We were satisfied with... More

Came here with 5 others for the buffet lunch. The setting is slightly upscale and there is a lot of natural light due to corner second floor location and lots of glass. The food was about what one would expect for a decent Indian restaurant serving Americanized food. I did appreciate that the pakora were gobi (cauliflower) which is my... More

The food was fabulous! The samosa were great, and we also had the kebabs. Both were great appetizers. Then we had curries and they were excellent. I especially loved the flounder curry...very good! The service was also excellent and the atmosphere and restaurant were very nice. A very good dining experience.

We had enjoyed Maharaja in previous years. Not this time. Service was chaotic and poor. Restaurant was half empty when we arrived but we still had to flag down a waiter after sitting for a long time. When we were done, I eventually had to go to bar (where all staff were furiously making drinks) to get our bill. Worst... More

This place is very close to the Harvard Square. It was almost full when we went there for lunch on a weekend. We ordered Biryani, some rotis and Aloo Gobi. What we got was extremely delicious, very filling Indian food. The Biryani really is so large that we needed 3 people to finish it. So watch your potions as you... More
