Went for lunch during Dine Out Boston week. Although service was slow, the food did not disappoint. Spring rolls were crispy and delicious! Our waitress suggested we roll the roll in the accompanying lettuce, basil, mint and sprouts. Very interesting! We split the spicy pork stir fry (delicious) and shrimp with lemongrass and veggies (tasty). Dessert-banana pudding in coconut milk... More

This was our first time here. We ware meet at the door by a friendly hostess and sat right away. We looked over the menu and the specials for that night. Our waiter came and answered our questions and took our drink order. So far so good. Then they gave us some bread and took our app order and our... More

We just finished celebrating our 50th anniversary at Elephant Walk. The event staff and the chef/owner were easy to work with. They met us at the restaurant, answered questions over the phone or by e-mail and were very welcoming. They gave us a menu with 5 choices for the main course, and offered to talk with any guest who had... More

Cambodian-French cuisine. Simple, but very nice environment. Excellent food! Very nice service. Highly recommended, especially for those who would like to try something different!

Very good spring roles. The entree I had was called Crevettes Amrita. Shrimp in satay sauce with veggies. Very flavorful. Not too spicy. Very nice restaurant atmosphere. The flavors were unique from other Asian cuisine.

Mixed our ordering between specials and menu items. The raw tuna/avocado salad was spectacular. The duck crepes appetizer was excellent. The mixture of French and Cambodian cuisine is unique and extraordinarily flavorful. Save room, because the desserts are 2die4. The service was personable and excellent. Pricing was inline with other Cambridge eateries.

We are here on our second evening in Boston. Our initial server, Wayne, was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. Starters of deep fried pork rolls and prawn salad were very good. Wayne ensured one of our small wine carafes was kept cool so that we could enjoy it with our mains. The mains - seared tuna and a... More

What a fabulous meal. Everything had wonderful flavors and beautiful presentation. The tuna/avocado salad was terrific. Both the quinoa dish and the crusted ahi were amazing. It's one I'll think about all week which is the sign of a good restaurant for me. Yum.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Its a nice place, but comfortably casual. They advertise a pretty extensive gluten-free menu, but my friend was a bit disappointed to find that they made dishes gluten-free simply by eliminating elements of the dish (sauces, ravioli, etc).

The main restaurant was full, so I ate in the bar downstairs, which was a bit dark, but did not change the atmosphere at all. The menu, although short, is nothing short of amazing. I ordered the dinner special of 3 menu items for a single price. And for what you get...wow, the food is amazing and delicious. I felt... More

Description
The Elephant Walk serves Award-Winning Cambodian and French cuisine. We also feature strong VEGETARIAN and GLUTEN-FREE menus! With so much depth and breadth to our menus, both exotic and familiar, we have something for just about everyone. Cambodian cooking is beautiful and delicious, but still rare in America. Less hot and sweet than Thai, richer and more complex than Vietnamese, the complex spice pastes that are the foundation of many Cambodian dishes reflect Cambodia’s Indian ancestry. Our Cambodian menu features both traditional Cambodian dishes and originals created by our Chef/Owners Longteine and Nadsa de Monteiro, a Cambodian mother-daughter team born and raised in Phnom Penh. Why French too? Cambodia was a French colony for a century, ending in the 1950s. Consequently, our chef-owners were French-educated and grew up speaking French and enjoying French cuisine too. In other words, our Cambodian-and-French theme is an authentic reflection of…us!
