Eldstó Art Café/Restaurant is an artistic place where all tableware is handmade on the premises by the owners G.Helga and Þór Sveinsson (Thor), potter. The coffee we serve is made of quality coffee beans and our cakes, bread and soups are local as well as our various small dishes. Icelandic lamb and fresh fish is on the menu and lettuce grown in the surrounding countryside. Having a delicious meal in our lovely Restaurant on your way to the south is an excellent idea. We have a special menu for groups.

Stopped here on our way back to Reykjavik airport rather than have a meal at the hotel. So glad we did. Very friendly welcome and really nice food. The lightly salted cod is gorgeous. Great place and highly recommend it.

Good friendly service but the food was average. Very salty chips with the burgers. The salad had way too much onion. The flat bread with lamb turned out to be a flat bread with 3 slices of ham-like processed meat.

Absolutely loved the food! The chips were the best I’ve ever had. Sofia was phenomenal, she was very caring and helpful and made our short stop run smoothly! The cheesecake was also delicious! Would definitely recommend!
