Great apartment, excellent dinner service

We stayed in one of the one bedroom apartments which exceeded our expectations. After using the hot tubs enjoying the view of the mountains, we had a very good dinner and received exceptional service. However, the breakfast and the breakfast service leaves an opportunity for improvement.

Great food, helpful staff

We enjoyed our meal in this rustic restaurant. The mains menu covered a wide selection including vegetable, lamb, fish, pork, goose and beef dishes. I had the goose and was impressed. The waitress was warm and helpful.

Gorgeous location

The perfect location for visiting the big sites on the south coast and the setting could not be more stunning. We were well cared for and the apartment was perfect for our needs. We could do some cooking and the hot pots were a nice way to relax at the end of the day. I absolutely recommend staying at Hotel Anna!

Exquisite food made from local produce

So glad we booked this on our journey back from the glacier. Made with fresh produce and beautifully presented, we had the goose salad followed by reindeer burgers which were far from any burger I've ever had before. Couldn't recommend this place enough, the service was fantastic too and the place is rich with heritage

Very rural location, friendly & efficient Reception. 'Boutique' suggests cozy rooms full of old furniture - check! Poor TV channel selections. Dinner menu features were limited, included puffin and horse steak - not nice. Outdoor hot tub was a relaxing soak in the rain and the mountain view was wonderful. Breakfast seating in a spacious hall, excellent hot/cold food selections.

Cozy and Comfortable

We stayed 2 nights as a family of 4 (2 rooms) on our driving adventure of Iceland and really enjoyed our time here. Everyone on staff was friendly. We ate at the restaurant one night and enjoyed our meals, even if they took a bit longer to come out than what we are used to. Great breakfast in the morning as well! Awesome views, beautiful horses right outside the doors and easy to get to all of the sites we planned to visit.

Nice place to stay. So-so dinner

Cute apartments that you enter from the outside. It had a Kitchenette. We weren’t going to be around for breakfast so they made a to-go bag for us. Dinner was ok there. Cod was not as good as I'd had elsewhere. The Lobster soup was excellent as was the risotto. Horse meat my friend said was like a bad beef. Duck burger was ok. Very friendly staff.

I thought it was such a nice stay. The service, food and the apartment was really nice. All the things we needed were there, it’s not often that you get these thing in a hotel so it was just a plus for our stay. I took my best friend there for a birthday weekend and it was just perfect. I’m so glad that I booked a room at Anna’s hotel. I recommend:) Thanks

Lovely country hotel and restaurant

We very much enjoyed our one night stay here. If you're looking for Nordic modern rooms, this isn't the place for you. Anna is classic Iceland, with large, comfortable spotless rooms and a very good restaurant. The setting is beautiful and just off the Ring Road. We'd love to come back and do some of the recommended hikes that start from the hotel. Good value and lovely.

Cleen, calm and cozy

Amazing views and quiet atmosphere. The apartment was with new interiors, cleen and cozy. Good shower. Very soft bedsheets and good beds. Really nice hottubs and good running/hiking routes all a round and friendly staff. Nice breakfast and good service.

Very nice accomodation

We stayed in an modern styled appartement and loved it. We enjoyed the hot tubs after hiking. It was very relaxing. The stuff was very kindly. The place where Hotel Anna is located is so beautiful. In front the sea and back the mountains. Lovely.

Cozy restaurant

Stopped for dinner on our way to Vestmannaeyjar. It is a cosy place with nice food and friendly service. The menu has something for everyone. One of the more interesting choices is horse steak.

Excellent food with prepared with locally sourced food in a wonderful setting. The dessert was especially great. Besides the wonderful inside of the restaurant, be sure to look at the scenery outside.

Had dinner one night while touring the south. The service was excellent and food very good. We had the burger, pasta, and cod. All were good but the burger was excellent!

Most romantic night of our trip in Iceland!

The food was great, the sun was setting, we got the table in the corner looking out on the beautiful nature surrounding the restaurant and the whole restaurant was all for ourselves as we were early! The host was really kind and we had a great relaxing dinner. Because we stayed at the hotel as well we finished off the dinner by enjoying the hottubs that can be found on the site as well.
