Run by a local artist Bragginn offers coffees, cake and a lovely brunch. All home made from scratch often using herbs and raw material from the garden and adjoining farm. Inside and outside seating. A real gem!

We visited the restaurant 3 times while my girls were riding horses in the area. I truly love these folks, and the food is so amazing. You will not find any better in all of Iceland!

Wonderful and homemade. Do stop by if you are in the area. Locals drop by on there horses and you can also join yoga on Sundays.

I am one of the regulars and make an effort to go there every summer. It is everything I look for in a café. Excellent food, cakes and coffee and wonderful atmosphere. The dandelions on the chocolate cake makes it all worth while. The place...More

We stopped in to check out this cute little place seemingly in the middle of farm land. The pesto was so good! Scones and coffee were as lovely as the ladies in the place. Great surprise stop!

Best coffee we tasted in Iceland (free refills) and fantastic cakes (chocolate cake very rich). Small cafe run by a family. It was a little oasis of fine and very friendly service, great food and a small pottery attached. A short distance off the main...More

The café is only open during the summer June - August. Bragginn is a summer Cafe and Ceramic Studio housed in the families old potato storage, an dug down ex army-barrack. The menu is based on the Slow Food concept, using mostly locally grown and sourced ingredients from neighboring farmers as the area is a vibrant production area of fresh and delicious food. The courses are a mixture between Icelandic traditions and the owners favorites ranging from Icelandic pancakes, cakes, raw cakes, home baked bread and Brunch during the weekends. Our coffee comes from the small but talented roasters, Reykjavik Roasters and we only serve pour over coffee. The Ceramic Studio is open for visitors, where it is possible to watch the products being made, have a chat with the designer and purchase the wares straight of the production line. We are in 10 minuets driving-distance from Fludir in south of Iceland, in peace and quiet with a beautiful view towards both Hekla and Eyjafjallajokull.
