A nice, varied menu - always a fish dish, usually a pasta, steaks usually excellent. I bet they'd do a great job with veal chops as well, but I've not seen that on the menu. I like that they have round tables, so a party of 5 or six isn't too spread out.

Wonderful restaurant with an eclectic atmosphere. Take your time and unwind. Take in the ambience and the aromas of the the Burner. You won't be disappointed. Worth the money if you relax in the moment.

If you can't get into the Sangamo Club, go here. The second-best place in Springfield serving executive chef-prepared cuisine. Springfield has three worthy restaurants, and Angie's never disappoints. Definitely stay on the upper floor, as downstairs is a bit dank.

Being Springfield, folks like to eat early! That being said, we came here with 5 people on New Year's Eve and had a lovely dinner. Think we all had lobster bisque as an app - delish! Between us, we had a couple of fish dishes, steak and salads. All were excellent. The service was quick - a bit too quick,... More

You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Our server kept drinks coming and was professional. Our group had duckling, short ribs, and pork loins. All entrees were delicious and fresh. Desserts after dinner were also good. Creme Brûlée prepared table side.

Great food and service. A busy night but our server kept up. Our party had salmon cakes, lamb stew and short ribs. All excellent. Augie's prepares unique dishes with a flair!!!

Always our first choice for fine dining. You cannot beat the menu and the nightly special offerings. If you haven't eaten at Augie's, you haven't dined in Springfield!

Food, service, and ambiance are all great! Even though it might not be one's first choice to take children to, the food and the environment will work with children who know proper etiquette when dining out! It is a bit expensive, but its worth the extra!

Love this place. Quaint. Great food with a menu that frequently changes. Not cheap but quality. I have been several times both for small business dinners and for a nice couples dinner. Good wine selection

Owner August Mrozowski is committed to offering all of his guests an exceptional, casual yet elegant, dining experience. A proud supporter of local businesses and local farmers, Augie’s Front Burner also offers catering for parties and special events.August Mrozowski, owner and chef of Augie’s Front Burner, started his culinary career in Springfield at the age of 13. Following in his father’s footsteps, he developed a passion for the culinary arts and worked at the Cafe L'Europe in Sarasota Florida for 19 years. In 1992, August opened his own restaurant, and in 1997 he returned home where he opened Augie’s Front Burner in Springfield. Augie’s overriding desire is to present his guests with the freshest and most interesting products available on the market. A strong supporter of other local businesses, Augie can be spotted weekly in the local farmers’ markets; he makes a point of knowing the best seasonal items that are available and creates his menus around those products. August’s creative flair can clearly be seen when it comes to his food presentation. He believes that fine dining is a multi-sensory experience, and he ensures that each plate is constructed and garnished beautifully so that when it arrives at the table, diner’s are ready to take in a flavorful, texture-filled culinary delight.
