Our server was surely high on something. Very flighty and got more so as the night went on. Forgot items and kept repeating our orders to try to remember, rather than writing it down. Food was average and not spectacular, which should be better given...the prices.More

Eclectic and delicious menu items and small plates, a funky ambiance with white tablecloths, good service and a happy bar scene make this a local favorite.

Recommend this place for great food and service! Loved the atmosphere and welcoming spirit. The prime rib was fantastic along with great bar hospitality that made the night complete. Would definitely come back again.

We found this restaurant to be high-priced in relationship to other area restaurants. The menu had some unusual dishes, but we found the food not to be in line with the prices they charged.

This is a great place to eat. So don't let my comments turn you off. But the lobster Mac use to be nice and thick and cheesy with plenty of lobster. Now it is a litte soupy with less lobster. Need to thicken it up...and add a bit more lobster.More

Okay, so, you wouldn't think this place was special by the location, it is in kind of a strip mall type area next to the movie theater, but don't discount it based on the outside appearance. The food is PHENOMENAL. We started with appetizers, and...enjoyed the best sushi roll I have had in years. The soups and salads were great, and the server was absolutely perfect. She was very attentive, but not overbearing. She even brought us a few extra crackers for our baked brie without pause. My friend had the tuna, and I had the sea bass. It was a dream. It has become our go to dinner destination for our friend meet ups in Springfield.More

My friend and I travel to Springfield from Decatur to eat at Indigo. It is such a wonderful place. The people are marvelous- Johnnie is the best bartender in central Illinois. We always eat at the bar. We keep thinking we will get a bad...meal but never have. Also, the owners are so nice!! We love itMore

There are not a lot of nice (non-chain) restaurants open for dinner on a Sunday night in Springfield, IL. Finding this one on Open Table was partly luck and mostly serendipity. From the deviled egg appetizers (topped with crispy duck) to the filet (cooked to...perfection) and the king crab legs, everything we had was beautiful cooked and wonderfully presented. A lovely fresh salad with house made balsamic dressing. Pita triangles with house made hummus, roasted garlic and kalamata olives. Roasted or mashed potatoes with our entrees. A delightful hostess. A fairly deep wine list but really good martinis (for $8!). My side car martinis was perfect and the French 75 also. The Belgian flourless chocolate cake was almost as good as the creme brulee. We will be back, so many more good things on the menu to try!More

Indigo doesn’t give up its secrets until you enter. A large room with low lighting greets you, with blue dogs scattered across the walls. It’s playful. My husband chose the Indigo eggs as his appetizer. The flavors change frequently. These were ok. In contrast, I...chose the tempura oysters. They were outstanding. I wish they offered them as a dinner! I could have eaten platefuls. My husband ordered the pork chop. “Wow” was his one word description followed by “Best pork chop I’ve ever eaten.” He had mashed potatoes he wasn’t going to eat, until he tried them. And then I tried them. I have never had better mashed potatoes, including the potatoes that I’ve made in my own kitchen—which I have always been proud to serve. Humbled. I had salmon served over Parisian gnocchi (which, per our server, is flour based vs potato based). They were ok, and had I not tried my husbands mashers I may have been satisfied. They were no competition, and my server generously brought me a serving. I could have licked the plate. Oh, the salmon was perfectly prepared and delicious. We stuffed ourselves with cheesecake. We didn’t need to do that! Dinner would have sufficed. We would go back.More

Friendly and attentive staff, good food - especially the crab cakes. I could tell a lot of locals eat here regularly by the way diners interacted with the wait staff - everyone knows everyone, a lot of warm interaction.

A week ago I was invited by a good friend to Indigo for lunch. The menu is quite exhaustive, The mussels, imported from Europe were small, juicy, tender. My main dish, steak tartar "au couteau" was obviously made using excellent beef. I like it a...bit spicier, but some Tabasco helped. One of the gust had a big crab -I forgot the exact name of such crab, but it was big, meaty, tasty. We drank an excellent Pinot Gris from Alsace (From Sheller?). At Baht 1400, it was very reasonably priced. For dessert I chose a lemon sherbet, and added a small glass of Vodka, to transform it into a "Colonel", a Russian specialty. The Frech fries were of Belgian quality I shall return.More
