With the many delicious sounding options on the menu, I decided to try the signature chicken pot pie. As I was told when I asked for a recommendation, "It's on our shirts..." Hey pie was just okay - mostly a thick gravy with a smattering...of vegetables and only a couple of small pieces of chicken. Disappointing. However the vegan sandwich, maybe a special that day, was made to order (taking about 15 minutes) and very good. Would have been nice if it came with a side. The salted chocolate chocolate chip cookie was so good that we almost went back to purchase one of every flavor! Would like to return to try other sandwiches and treats.More

Cafe Moxo was a lucky find for a quick, tasty lunch, with stellar service downtown. I was very indecisive and the staff was helpful in providing recommendations without hesitation. Loved that they weren't annoyed with me and carried on a conversation with me and other...patrons. The lunch special (sandwich, side, drink, and cookie) was a great deal. The food was fresh with great flavor!More

I stopped here for a to-go breakfast with coffee. I was in and out quickly. The egg, hashbrown, and biscuit breakfast is always a winner for me. Coffee was hot and fresh.

The salad was excellent. The Mac and cheese was also very good. The chocolate chip cookie was a bit dry. The restaurant is casual and seems to be a local favorite. Service was not the friendliest. There is not an abundance of available parking on...the street.More

A true jewel in downtown Springfield After passing on the hotel breakfast, we found this place and the day got so much better. Delicious food, inexpensive, fun, and the staff was friendly and witty and sweet. It’s truly a marvel.

Stopped in this am for coffee and a light breakfast. Man at counter, I assume was owner was so very genuinely friendly and helpful, I am sad we do not live there to patronize this business on a regular basis. The coffee was great, and...cranberry pecan scone was the best. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!More

Walked three blocks from the hotel to get breakfast. Up to the counter and asked? Can I order eggs we don't do, made to order . You can order precooked eggs in like a quiche with hashtype casserole. Ok give me what you have. No...table service, pickup your order sit at a table, when finished place your plate, utensils and garbage in the assigned bin. I guess if you live or work in Springfield that's the way it is.More

I had tomato soup and my mom had a different kind of soup. The biscuits that come with the soup were very unique and tasty. Prices were reasonable. It was a little cramped in the building.

This is a walk-up and order set-up which was quite busy on a Saturday morning (perhaps because of the Farmer’s market on the streets outside). We tried a variety of the options on the menu. We found the Fall Harvest soup quite pleasant as was...the vegetarian strata. We weren’t impressed with the hash brown casserole or the strawberry pecan French toast. The avocado toast was okay. The busyness of the place may have contributed to the snippiness of the workers. They shouldn’t assume all of their customers are locals and aware of how things work. Having to cut through the line to order to make it to the restrooms is not pleasant either. We thoroughly enjoyed the Farmer’s Market. Had it not been for that part of the experience, we’d likely have been disappointed with Cafe Moxo. But had it not been occurring, the experience at Cafe Moxo may have been more pleasant.More

My husband and I have enjoyed frequenting Cafe Moxo each Saturday from May through October and sometimes in between. I have a few food allergies, so my order usually has an adjustment needed. With the upswing of summer market customers came new staff after a...few visits being told, "It's already made up," "This is how it comes," I became dismayed being handed food I had told them I was allergic to and couldn't eat. I wondered was this a new policy? Would the weekly date my husband & I enjoy have to be changed? So I wrote an email. On our next visit, we were pleasantly surprised to receive my request without hesitation and an apology. Thank You, Cafe MoxoMore

I went here for a gluten free lunch, as recommended by other reviewers. Since it was my first time dining here, the waitress recommended I order the combo so I could get two different things and a cookie. They could make any sandwich with gluten...free bread. She said their mac and cheese was also very good. The chocolate chip cookie was marked "gluten sensitive" was placed near the other gluten-filled items, otherwise I could pay extra for a large homemade rice Krispy treat. Drinks were extra and there were cans of sodMore

Seeing the reviews on Tripadvisor for Cafe Moxo and seeing that it was a short walk from our hotel, we decided to go there for our Monday morning breakfast. My wife ordered their Avocado Toast, and I ordered their Breakfast Burrito. My wife did not...like the Avocado Toast at all. She could not even finish it, as she said that the tomatoes and balsamic vinegar overpowered the avocado. I thought my Breakfast Burrito was okay - nothing stood out to say it was amazing, but it was flavorful. I just wish my wife had had a better experience.More

We ate outside one day and sat in the window the second day. Tried to go back a third time, but it was closed for Sunday. Great food, fast service, centrally located.

Breakfast is until 10:30. A few things are sold all day. They have the few items listed on the menu on the web. We ordered on line to pick up breakfast at 10:15 and had no problem.
