Our party of eight ate ourside in the courtyard and each tried something different to share amongst our Lincoln tour group. The prices were reasonable, service was great, and the food was exceptional. A nice relaxing setting and my sneak tour through the inside of...the house revealed it to be very interesting and keeping with the Lincolnesqe atmosphere ot Springfield. Don't miss this place.More

although the food was OK, the service was not. we started at the bar and proceeded to a table for dinner. Other than being ignored by the many waiters running around, we finally got our burgers (cold) and decided to cross this place off our...list.More

Visited on a Sunday after brunch but didn't mind missing their brunch hours because I was still able to get chicken and waffles which were delicious. Assumed it would be a touristy dive because it was the closest restaurant to Lincoln's house bit it wasn't....Great food, great energy, family friendly, great location.More

This was an okay restaurant. Service was okay but not great. Good was expensive for the amount you received. BBQ pork was super spicy and couldn’t be ate. Pork tenderloin was fried a bit to much therefore extremely crispy.

We were told my a guide at the Lincoln Home to walk across the street and eat here and it did it disappoint. My daughter and I split the Full Horseshoe with Angus beef and it was more than we could handle. The cheese sauce...isn’t too thin but has a rich flavor. The burger patties the very big, the fries seem to be battered and there are a lot of them. The fries were cooked perfectly crisp but not close to burnt. For $15, this was a bargain. My family will definitely be back!More

We just love this restaurant. It is clearly the favorite spot for the neighborhood and it's easy to see why. There is a restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining and then you can also take drinks next door to the outdoor bocce garden that...has picnic tables and places to stand and sit. The food was delicious and the server very friendly. Can't think of a nicer place to spend an evening in Springfield.More

Really good dinner passing through town on the way home from vacation. My wife had the pork tenderloin sandwich with house made chips, and I had the philly steak flatbread with homemade cheddar cheese sauce. Both entrees were outstanding, and to boot we had dessert,...the gooey butter cake. All was fantastic and really good service. Enjoy this place!More

In Springfield, IL for tourism. The hotel desk told us of this restaurant. It did not disappoint. We had the potatoe cakes appetizer. They brought us 3 large portions that could easily serve six people. They were delicate and delicious. My friend had a fabulous...bowl of chili. One of the best ever. The server was wonderful. Kudos to her.More

Our group of 13 and no one was disappointed. One person said she had the best chicken wrap of her entire life, and she works in a restaurant. My wife had honey, goat cheese, bacon flat bread that was excellent.

Enjoyed a great dinner with the kids. There was a wait for our table (10-20 minutes) for 4 people. This place looks like it’s always happening, so plan accordingly with a large group. There is outdoor patio space to sit with lights. The food has...great portions for the price and they brew their own beer. Parking - there is a lot, but there are some restrictions for some times. Took a pic of their parking guidelines. Pics top row: parking guidelines, inside bar area, fish and chips (double portion) Pics second row:strawberry pineapple spritzer, top of entry way, beverage offerings/ entryway mural Pics third row: penne with pesto chicken, fish tacos, ponyshoe with chicken (chicken didn’t have much flavor - hot sauce fixed that, the actual horsehoe is twice that size).More

We took a weekend trip to Springfield and decided to give this restaurant a try based on the reviews. We put our names on the wait list via the Yelp app. Easy to use and you can view your spot in line. We had no...waiting once we arrived at the restaurant. We were seated near the bar so the noise level was higher than normal but to be expected for a Saturday night. Our server was busy but attentive. Our party ordered flights to try out the microbrews. The Hefenweizen and Issac IPA were favorites. Our Bavarian pretzel appetizer was delicious. The cheese was creamy and not too cheesy-if you know what I mean. Our table ordered the Lamb burger (yum), Cajun Shrimp Andouille (surprisingly cheesy but good), and the Salmon special. I ordered the...don't judge...PB&J burger. Yes there was peanut butter, yes there was bacon jam, and it was DELICIOUS. Our table ordered the Bread pudding. The table enjoyed it. I would definitely go back if I were in Springfield especially to try the brunch and hang out in the beer garden.More

We loved Obed & Isaac's so much we went there twice in 2 days! It was hard to decide what to order because the entire menu looks so delicious. The Horseshoe sandwich is a must-try while in Springfield -- my husband had one with corned...beef and it was very tasty. I decided on the salmon BLT salad, which was wonderful. We enjoyed the great selection of craft beers as well as the lively, charming atmosphere. Although it was too cold when we were there to be outside, the beer garden looks fun. The staff was super friendly. Highly recommend!More

My wife and I enjoyed our lunch experience at Obed & Isaac's. We found it conveniently located across from Lincoln's homesite and historical site. We liked the ambiance of the restaurant, as our table was in an off room from the beautiful bar seating area....It appears that the restaurant caters to a variety of customers, from foodies, locals, and tourists. Our server was efficient and engaging. We started with side salads, then my wife chose the pub burger - nicely appointed chargrilled angus beef on a pretzel roll with all the trimmings. I got the house-smoked pork BBQ - hand pulled and served with coleslaw. Both choices were really good - tasty, nicely presented, and in perfect portions. I had to recommend my choice to patrons arriving as we left - soo good!More
