I eat gluten free. There is a GF menu with a number of options, enough to feel like I had choices. I ordered the Parmesan artichoke dip as an appetizer and it was delicious, very creamy and served with tortilla chips instead of pita bread...to be GF. For dinner I had the Stinger Burger with a gluten free bun and potato salad. It was all satisfying and I enjoyed my meal. The other meals I saw leave the kitchen also looked good and I’m sure the menu is full of awesome choices. The prices did not seem outrageous for the quantity of food. I would recommend this restaurant.More

Food portions were huge. All of our dishes lacked flavor. Our server, Nichole, was a hoot. Very kind and attentive.

Obed & Isaac's was recommended by employees at the Abe Lincoln Museum. It was just a few short blocks away and worth the walk. Darcy was super friendly and very attentive. Food and beer were delicious. I would definitely recommend is you are in the...Springfield area.More

It's a micro brewery within 2 minutes of walking distance from Abraham Lincoln's house. It's an old historical building with a fun outside patio that has a view of the state capital building. I recommend starting with the pierogies as an appetizer. (Imagine a wonton,...stuffed with mashed potatoes and cheese, so good!) They are known for their "Horse Shoe" and "Pony Shoe" (smaller in size) which is an interesting dish. It consist of bread on the bottom, a meat (beef, pork, chicken, veggie patty, corned beef hash etc.) with white cheese and crispy French fries on top. Yup, it's kinda weird when you think about it, but it was very yummy. Right now they have a limited menu because of COVID. I have included their temporary menu in the photos as well. They also have seasonal beers and wine there too. I had the hard cider which was very refreshing.More

Pretty decent choices. Fish Tacos were good and the Nutella poppers were popping. Nothing exotic about their fries but they were much better than your typical fast food fries. This was my second time eating there. I feel like it should be a stop in...anyone’s visit to all things Lincoln.More

Safe place to sit outside during the pandemic. Large outdoor seating area with drinks and limited menu choices. Pizza was okay. Chicken salad sandwich on a bun was okay. Good service.

Lots of menu choices. We tried for dinner but wait was an hour, so came for early dinner the next day, got right in. Service was good, prices appropriate.

There was a small wait and outdoor dining only. There is a wonderful beer garden next to it for waiting until your time to eat. The beer selections were very good. Atmosphere was good. I had the tenderloin and fries. Tenderloin was big and could...have used a little more flavor. I was given very little fries and they are not my favorite style. I like real potato fries and was hoping they were and not the processed. Even though I wasn't given many, they were good.More

This restaurant has been a family fav but the last two visits have not been good. First of all it took at least 20 minutes for a server to get menus during first visit. Drinks came at reasonable time. The food order took much longer....Odd because the inside was not crowded because of distancing More were seated outdoors. Inside Servers were not serving Outdoors. Recently, it took 20 minutes to order then drinks : not all coming at once. Ordered our food snd after 45 minutes I had to hunt down out the server. 5 minutes later the food arrived. The table next to us arrived same time as we had, received their food quickly snd were gone before our food arrived. Wanted extra syrup but server never around until finished eating. Pandemic might have an impact on service but when spacing has more empty tables service should be decentMore

Tried something a bit different here....had a horseshoe and it was really good! Had never tried theirs since another place is noted for them but I would have Obed's again. Always a good time there! Love the patio dining....
