Kaffi Kyrrd is a cafe, shop, and B&B all in one. The downstairs is part flower/gift shop and part cafe. The upstairs has rooms you can rent through Airbnb. This review is on the downstairs shop and cafe only. If you're in Borgarnes, or anywhere close, make it a point to stop in here for a warm cup of coffee/tea... More

Katrin and Svava are the most warm and welcoming hostesses for this cafe, florist, gift shop and home-stay lodging. The coffee and chocolate lava muffin cakes are heaven. We stayed two nights in comfy, spiritually-uplifting lodgings. A must for anyone headed to the peninsula! Arrived as tourists and left as friends.

If you are exploring the south west coast of Iceland, stop in at this gem. The owners are sweet, helpful, and lovely. The food is prepared with love. The waffle they serve is delish, and the paninis yummy. The atmosphere is so comfy and relaxed, it feels like you are in your own livingroom.

So welcoming, both visually and by the people who run it, not to mention their dog. A very different place, it feels just like being in someone's house, lots of mementos and personal items give it a really homely feel. Beautifully presented toasted sandwiches and delicious hot chocolate. We went back three or four times during our two day stay.... More

We dropped in by accident into Blomasetrid, looking for a coffee. We entered another world, with flowers, ceramics, cholocate (raw, organic, icelandic), cosy and comfy sofas, kitsch, paintings and really nice people. We drank excellent cappucino and had a great forrest berry cake. There is food and snacks, we did not try them, but they looked delicious. It is really... More

We stopped in here for lunch on our way back to Reykjavik from the Snæfellsnes. It's actually a flower shop/cafe. Quirky decor, but very cozy. We each had a quiche that came with a salad and some coffee. Portions were a good size, but price as most of Iceland was a little high at $45CAD for two quiche/salad plates and... More
