This was our second time camping here and it is a treasure. Superb Food, camp in a sheltered Greeenhouse, excellent common room with cooking amenities if you wish to cook. Berger (the Owner and his Wife) prepare daily soups served with bread that are incredible....Will be returning in a few months and will stay/camp here again. I give this establishment 5-Stars and encourge you to sample their restaurant, you will be glad you did. Warm regards and enjoy beautiful Iceland. Dave GonzalvesMore

We planned to camp here, but once we got a look at the place we quickly changed our minds. It was really cramped and looked horribly run-down. We stayed at Husafell (a 30-minute drive away and well worth it!)

Simple menu but does the job. They usually have a couple of different soups on offer with bread for lunch.

Loved the “all you can eat” soups especially because you can eat right away as the soups are out for self-service. We loved tasting the 3 different kinds of soups. The burgers were also good and my kids liked the French fries a lot.

The owner boasts and pride himself that everything serves here, he personally raised from his garden. Well, of course except the bread but it is also very good. They served three different types of soup that filled and warmed our tummy and carrot cake thereafter....The lunch price included all you can eat, bread and water. There are some tiny fumaroles outside the restaurant. It is a nice stop in the middle of nowhere.More

We came there to camp and we have been around in Iceland, the cleaning facilities are totally worn down, toilets broken shower bad and washing up sinks from last century the smell in toilet bad and poorly kept clean. The place could be nice if...they would build a new house around those facilities and bigger.More

We pitched out tent inside of an old greenhouse. It was very nice to be warm and cozy (geothermal heating of the greenhouse) as the rain fell outside! We ate dinner at the restaurant. They had two different stews going with bread. The stews were...very good and it was a great value which is hard to find in Iceland. A very fun experience.More

We stopped here on our way to Reykjoft and Husafell, for snacks, coffee and to buy some sandwiches and crackers. The owner was very nice and welcoming, and our daughter loved the piano that stands next to the entrance and above which a sign invites...everyone to play a tune. So she did. Tasted a few spoons of the daily soup - very good..More

On our way to husafell we decided to stop here for camping after soaking some hours in krauma hot pool (5min car). Great choice! Good spaces, no crowds (mainly locals), clean and very warm bathrooms, showers included and fair price. And TOP FOOD, low prices...at the local organic family run bar-restaurant: 3 excellent soups of the day  (self all you can eat) and best hamburger eaten in iceland!More

We actually camped here and were pleased that it wasn't overcrowded. The staff was super helpful and friendly! We had dinner as well - the endless soup, which was so, so good! It was obvious that the vegetables were fresh and from their garden out...back. I also splurged and got chocolate cake and cream, which was so worth it! Definitely a great stop after traveling all day.More
