This is a bare-bones, austere, Mediterranean restaurant. The seating area lacks warmth entirely. There is no carpeting to cover the unappealing cement floor. There are few pictures on the wall, and those there are there, seemed old and relics of another business. Everything was immaculate...as far as cleanliness. The signs with the menu are posted rather high up, and require you to look directly into a light bulb to see them. The tables are uninviting. In general, there is nothing to lure anyone in! That is a shame as the food was fairly tasty. I ordered the sampler platter and received a mixed batch of food quality-wise. The chicken shawarma was delicious! The beef kabob was tough and gristly. The Kafti meat was tasty, but seemed entirely processed. It did not taste or feel like meat at all, but did taste good! The salad with the meal was fresh, cold and very tasty. The pita was subpar for me, but my wife loved it!! It was store bought, for certain, and thinner than I prefer. As I said, Cindy loved it! Just a matter of personal preference. The service was quick enough, but we were the only table there, so I do not know how well they would do under pressure. I would not believe well since it appeared to me they concentrated on preparing Cindy's food, then when it was entirely complete, prepared mine. It felt very disorganized. The prices are low for what you receive. The baklava was absolutely phenomenal!! Without question, the high point of he meal, and some of the best I have tried! I was not sure if they made it there or bought it elsewhere. I am looking forward to visiting again after they have a chance to move up on the learning curve! I hope they succeed, but at this point in time, they are not up to their competition's level.More
