Highly Recommend This One

We found them on Groupon and arrived to find a full parking lot and had to wait for a table. Sushi roll, won ton soup, crab rangoons, and a couple of entrees from the Thai menu more than filled us up. We live an hour away in Lincoln, but we'll definitely be back!

Not the same

Recently I wrote a review giving Hunan Fusion a great report. This time it wasn't the same. This was a to-go order for Kung Pao Shrimp and House Fried Rice. When I got home and opened the Shrimp dish I found a bowl of mushrooms floating in a sauce with 9 shrimp sitting on top. No other vegetables, just mushrooms and shrimp. Very little flavor. The bowl of hot and sour soup was excellent but I actually drove back to the restaurant and asked if this King Pao serving was the normal recipe. When told "yes" I placed the container in the garbage can. Really a disappointment since earlier meals had been so good.

Excellent Food

Took four people to lunch. My first choice in an Asian restaurant is the hot and sour soup. Hunan's version was the best I have had in Omaha. It was excellent. Four different entrees, mine was General's Shrimp. Very different presentation. I had expected the small shrimp but these were large in a sweet/hot sauce. They were excellent. The total price for the four of us came to $11 per person. I was surprised. The only down side was the television set over our table. I don't mind a tv at a sports bar, but in a nice restaurant, it was out of place.

Hour long wait....still no food.

Ordered at 6:45p for a 7:20p pickup. My wife waited at the store until 8, at which point she was told that the guy who puts in the orders didn't put in half of the orders that came in and it would be ANOTHER hour before our food would be ready. Her along with a line of about 14 other people cancelled and walked out. Downright unbelievable and rude. What a waste of everyone's time.

Why didn't we try this sooner???

I am not a fan of many of the more popular Asian places here in Omaha. We have been searching for something we would really love for some time now and tried this place a couple months ago. We have been here 3 times in the last couple months abd are just disappointed we had not tried them sooner. I like the staples- pot stickers, chicken fried rice, crab rangoon. My husband likes spicy spicy. We both love it here. We have had take out once and eaten in 3 times and will be going back for sure. Great food, friendly staff, clean tables. Prices are great. Highly recommend!

Nice menu and good service

We like sushi! But this place adds thr one ingredient in several of their rolls that we disagree with: cream cheese! Please! This does not belong in ANY roll. Other than that our meals here are always good, promptly delivered to table, good service. None of it extraordinary or out of this world, but all of it acceptable. Go here for an average no nonsense evening. In and out quick!

Great selelctions of Asian Fusion

Kimchee rice and noodles are fantastic! Sushi, lettuce wraps, Thai entrees were all delicious. Would give them a 5, but gluten free choices are very few and not exciting.

Very slow service

Restaurant was not busy. We waited at least 10 minutes befor we got water, then another several minutes before our order was taken. Everything was a la carte. So if we wanted an appetizer and soup both were extra. Food was okay. Nothing special. Would probably won’t be back,

Not a good choice!

I went to Hunan Fusion on Saturday night. The restaurant was basically empty and they didn’t any service. The meat tasted like it had been reheated numerous times and was extremely tough. The portions are overpriced and very small. I have eaten better quality food for LOTS LESS money. Will definitely not be returning!

Definitely a contender

We live in Bellevue and are very unhappy with most of the choices in our area. We happened across this restaurant while shopping and were pleasantly surprised. The spring rolls and crab rangoon were on happy hour (even on a Saturday) and very tasty. Both our meals were huge and very good. We ordered basic items (as we do any time we hit a new place) and we are excited to come back and try other dishes.

Why isn’t this place packed?

I’ve eaten here twice and continue to wonder why they aren’t packed for lunch? I’ve only had the beef broccoli-but it was delicious-not greasy or salty and the right amount of food for a good price. I look forward to trying other things on their menu soon!

FABULOUS!

Delicious food, generous portions, and wonderful, friendly service. Upscale modern decor, very well maintained, and overall very pleasant atmosphere. Sushi Japan has been a long time favorite, but this joint ranks right up there. Kudos.

Excellent Food and Service

The food and service was excellent. The front of the restaurant is undergoing renovation and a little difficult to get in. The interior decor was fine. We had the lettuce wraps and spicy chicken wings and both were excellent. We also thoroughly enjoyed the crispy shrimp and the chilean seabass. Service was very professional and attentive throughout our meal.

Great tasty freshly-prepared food.

It had been over a year since my last visit to Hunan Fusion. A friend and I went for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, the service, and the food. We were greeted and seated promptly. My friend had never been there before and was impressed with the variety of options available, from fresh sushi, Thai, Chinese and other Asian-fusion dishes. We shared a tempura platter as an appetizer...2 very crisp piping hot shrimp, and tempura broccoli, squash, onion, and zucchini. I had the crispy shrimp with fried rice as my entree, and my friend had General Tso's chicken...we were both 100% happy with our meal. Prices are quite moderate for such high quality food, served beautifully by efficient servers. We plan to head back soon and have no hesitation to recommend Hunan Fusion to others.
