I can forgive the server waiting 10 min before coming over to greet us, the drinks taking forever, the food coming out half a time, and missing drinks. What I cannot get over is the owners response. We let everything slide until an entire entree...was missing, than asked to talk to the manager. I am no "Karen", this is the last thing I like to do. When the owner came over, we told her the issues. Her response? " well if you're not happy, don't tip you server." Ummmm.. that is NEVER the answer. Then, after we asked to talk to someone else, " I'm the owner, if you don't like it don't come back." So moral of the story, there are so many better restaurants ( thank you OFL) in Omaha who actually give a sh$% about their employees and customers, don't settle for Wheatfields! Mediocre food and poor management is not worth it.More

Honestly you should go just to walk in to the smells from the bakery portion. Amazing. Nice little breakfast place - step up from a diner, little more home-cooked feel, though nothing amazing. Typical breakfast spot fare. Baked egg strata was a little dry but...very hearty and enjoyable. The highlight was certainly the cherry turnover/streusel thing that came on the side of my dish. One of those things that despite being full, you'll keep taking bites.More

I've been here over the years cause I've been my favorite I coach soccer competitive and I brought teams here after competitions I just went back with my family decided to visit the zoo and eat here is a must. After coming in I know...Kobe had changed a lot of places but it doesn't have to make the food go to opposite direction from great to terrible I tried it most of the stuff on the very short menuDidn't find anything to talk about positive Not sure what happened but it's gone down here the food is not great at all I would not recommend cause we won't be back. Wait the bakery's still OK not great but OKMore

A group of us from a wedding party call a week in advance to advise of our coming there Sunday afternoon for brunch. We were advised to call back on Sunday morning to see if they could accommodate the group. Call was made Sunday morning...and we were advised yes they could accommodate the group. Group arrived and waited and waited so I approached the hostess which was owner Ruth Ann to see how much longer the wait was and was told it would be awhile they were not equipped to handle the group of 12 at this time. In my efforts to explain that I had called a head Ruth Ann walked away. A another employee ask me how he could help I started to explain when Ruth Ann rudely interrupted me saying that we just needed to wait. I then tried again to talk she start to walking away again and I said could you just listen, I was advised that she was the owner and didn't need to listen to me. She then said we had to leave. As we were leaving another hostess and the male employee apologized for her rudeness. We went to Shirley's and were welcomed we did have to wait but all staff and owner who came to our table to congratulate the bride and groom. So Ruth Ann of wheatfields being an owner does not make it OK to be rude to your customers. Recommend Shirley's if you want tested right.More

Killer bakery. Longtime, consistent quality lunches and breakfasts. Nice to be in a restaurant that is full again. Gotta keep supporting these places or they will be going under.

We have been to Wheatfields in Lawrence, Ks many times so when we saw this one we had to stop by & they did not disappoint. The food was very good. We had the breakfast wrap & crepes. Both were tasty. Service was great &...friendly. We purchased a few baked goods for the road and it was definitely a great idea for a tasty snack instead of fast food or gas station snacks!! Hands down would go back.More

Ordered curbside pickup 2 hours in advance, waited at curbside for 40 minutes just to call inside for the 4th time and be told they ran out of the food we ordered and were making more. The response from the employee was, “Does she want...it or not”. Absolutely atrocious! The employee brought my credit card out to my car, handed it to me, and walked back inside without saying a word. I took my card and left...with 2 toddlers in the car the whole time! Wheatfields should be embarrassed.More

We stopped by this weekend. I ordered the 'grandmother's skillet,' which was just eggs, ham, and cheese. Which is fine if that's what you want but it was overpriced for just something simple I could have made at home. There was no 'European flare.' My...husband ordered the pork tenderloin and he had to send it back. It was so thin that all you could taste was the crust. And when there's no meat in the tenderloin, it just tasted burnt.More

I ordered a meal that I had never had before. It was served Luke warm, the noodles were over cooked, and the meat was nonexistent, but lots of fat and bone. When I told the waitress that I could not eat it, she brought me...more fat and bones. Again I said I could not eat it. The manager/Owner (DID NOT WEAR A MASK AND SAID HE DIDN'T HAVE TO IF HE DIDN'T WANT TO). came to the table 20 minutes later, said that I ordered it so I had to pay for it.More

I had driven by the shopping center in which Wheatfields is located about 100 times before I found it on the side of the strip mall. It is great, the take out, the sit down and the bakery items. There is something here for everyone...and they serve breakfast all day!More

I personally never had the cheesy tomato, but we did have the cheesy cauliflower and that was off the chain, at least three cheeses in this one.
