Located in Mid Town, this family owned restaurant serves up classic Greek in a open and cheery atmosphere. The servers are very friendly and very informative as to the menu. The food was served hot and in a timely fashion and best of all, a huge portion ( Could not eat everything ) Well worth a visit, if only to... More

I like gyros, and have eaten them at pretty much every Greek restaurant in town. This place is consistently by far the best.

This was our first trip to the Greek Islands. It won't be our last. We really didn't know what to order, as our daughter informed us after we told her that we had eaten here. We didn't get the gyro, or the flaming cheese thing, or not even the baklava, which she said is the whole reason for eating here.... More

First, and likely last, visit to Greek Islands. Service was a bit slow. Not that the food took particularly long, but getting drinks was slow--when we first got there and when we wanted seconds. We started with the flaming Saganaki. It was good. Unfortunately, we've had it at another Greek restaurant out of state that we thought was better (more... More

I got a gyro platter for lunch. It was yummy. I recommend the Greek potatoes instead of regular fries. I had enough leftovers to eat lunch two more times (supplemented by a side salad one day and fruit the next). The atmosphere is nice, and we got out in plenty of time to head back to work!

And when I say best, that is not meant to disparage the competition (such as Jim & Jennie's, which is also excellent). But you can't beat this place for a number of reasons: 1. The best range of dishes in the city. Things like lamb shanks, that you rarely see elsewhere. 2. The food quality is outstanding. 3. The servers... More

Any place that brings me flaming cheese is an automatic favorite. Authentic Greek food, good service, and affordable prices make this a good bet.

If your looking for a great little place for a super lunch this is it. The Greek food is top notch and the lunch specials are just that...special. Service is always the best. Nancy will always greet you with a smile and be sure you have everything you need for a great lunch.

I have now been to this place about three times! I love the feta dip with pita bread! I also love the fresh warm bread you get when you dine in! Some notable mentions are the grilled marinated chicken with fries, the hummus, the saganaki and the veggie pita! I've made two meals out of portions! Portion Control at its... More

Step into this family-owned restaurant and prepare to be transported to Greece! From the moment you walk in the door, friendly service is the ethos here. The white stucco walls emblazoned with the familiar sea blue of Greece and murals of the country set the stage. The appetizers and entrees are authentic recipes. For a little bit extra they literally... More
