Classic Steak House

I had the Ahi Tuna Sandwich and a nice bottle of wine to take to my room. Would of loved to try a steak but had work to do. The food was great!

According to our waiter, this is the original Spencer's and the founder retained ownership. Well, it shows! The chopped salad that comes with every entree was excellent. We had the Spencer Steak (boneless rib eye) and the bone-in Filet, and both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The Brussel sprouts could have been browned a little more, but that... We love this place and they love us 😉 They know what we like to drink and our special place to set. They have great food and I have ever had a bad experience. My favorite dishes are the warm goat cheese and Golden beet salad. Then Filet with Truffle butter and Lobster Mac N Cheese. We also Order a... More

Went here on a Saturday and ate in the bar area. It's a nice bar area for dining but not overly formal. Had the Spencers ribeye and it was fantastic. Try the truffle mac and cheese if you're feeling hungry. It was very good.

I have been to the steakhouse 4 times and every time there is a problem with service or the quality of the food . I was there last week for the last time I ordered the bone in filet and the guy I was with ordered the 16 oz rib eye, my steak was good but not the 12 oz.... More

I loved this steak house. The rib-eye was hot, juicy, tender and tasty. Their signature salad may have been the best dinner salad I have ever had. It had brie, walnut, greens and a fantastic dressing. Their stuffed hash-browns were an idea whose time definitely has come, better than baked potato and better than fries. My wife had the filet... We were staying at the attached Hilton Garden Inn. Went to eat and the place was empty. Maitre'd looked down his nose at us and said if you don't have a reservation, you will have to go to the bar. He was quite rude and no people skills. Went in to bar area and the only vacant table had a... More

Very expensive and not very good food. Although they make a big, and repeated, speech about "organic" and "local", the steaks were chewy and cordy. For $40+ you would expect more. Also, I ordered a gin on the rocks and the itemized bill listed $10 for the gin and $1 for the ice!

Every Business trip is an opportunity to find a great steak. After several attempts in Omaha, Spencer's served it! As it should, a great chop house explains what they have, makes recommendations and delivers. You won't be impressed if you're searching for a huge salad, over-sized accompaniments and no-room-for desserts. These portions are quality not quantity. The steak, specifically the... More
