This restaurant is nestled in a neighborhood that is about 10 minutes from downtown Omaha. It's about 5 minutes north of I 480 at the Martha Street exit. The food is great and the portions are large. The family that owns this restaurant is Italian, so the food is authentic. There is often a wait, but you can have a... More

We have been going for 20 years. HUDGE portions. Have not had a item off the menu that is not great! They are starting to get cheep. About 3 years ago they always gave you fresh bread diced tomatoes with fresh garlic. Now they charge you extra for the diced tomatoes and the bread is little rolls! Still good but... More

Italian isn't my favorite cuisine, so when I find a really great Italian restaurant, I am sono contento! Walking into Lo Sole Mio feels like I've left Omaha and stepped into a bit of romantic Italian history. The restaurant was opened in 1992 and is still family owned and run. The atmosphere is decidedly Italian -- well chosen sculptures and... More

Great food and a nice family owned restaurant. Very busy but great service and nice staff. In a nice residential area so kind of a hidden gem if you don't know it is there. Parking is limited so get there early.

Nobody leaves here without a doggie bag.. the portions are huge and delicious. No matter what you order it is spot on. I always leave there smelling like garlic for at least two days. The roasted garlic is delicious, spread on warm bread...umm! The downstairs is a little claustrophobic, but we try to get a table on the first floor.

This is the best Italian resturant in the city. The service is great and the dining is even better. I believe the value is exceptional. Best to make reservations.

We are spoiled in Omaha with so many wonderful places to eat but Lo Sole Mio is certainly right at the top of any dining experiences we have had and it never gets old. The atmosphere is festive but we still had our own space. The food is simply awesome and we have never gone home without another full meal... More

Not the same place. Lived close by in the mid 90s to early 2001 and ate there for special occaisions because it was special and amazing. Once we moved we planned trips through Omaha so we would drive through at dinner time to stop here. Its not "special" anymore. Just so so on the food.
