We've been dying to try a loose meat sandwich ever since "Roseanne" was on TV. Found a great place for one at B and G Tasty Foods. It has been in business for over 60 years, in this same shopping plaza for 40. Yes, try the loose meat sandwich called the Bee Gee. It is like a sloppy joe without... More

Pretty good sandwich, but lacks the seasoning I remember from my younger years. Still, it is pretty good when you get the mustard, pickles, onions and cheese on it. My fries were the thin type and were cooked very good. All in all a nice change from the usual burger thing.

Great food and an awesome atmosphere that always triggers good memories and an enjoyable meal. The malts are the best and the fries great for dipping in ketchup or their chili!

Never had a loose meat sandwich before. Is basically a crumbled beef sandwich. This place has been around and has a lot of history in the area. Staff is pleasant and the place is clean. Prices are reasonable. I didn't have any ice cream but the shakes looked good. The loose meat sandwich was good. The deep fried cheese sandwich... More

B and G has supporters of many years who love everything they get there. My last 2 visits were disappointing. Burger dry, fries not freshly-made, counter staff sorta surly. I wish this gem would clean up its act a little...Omaha's losing some of the great oldies...but as the product deteriorates, I lose my enthusiasm and patience hoping things will improve.

My girlfriend and I stopped in here for lunch. She got the regular B&G sandwich which just consisted of their loose meat. I got the B&G Cheese Frenchee with a chocolate milkshake. The fries were okay, nothing out of the ordinary. The shake was delicious and the sandwich was fantastic, highly recommend it if you've ever had a Frenchee or... More

Ever since I can remember my dad has taken me here. The atmosphere is real cool. 1950's diner type place. They have malts and shakes and amazing food. This is for sure a cool place to take kids too. Fun finger food type menu. Loose meat sandwiches are just Dynamite! I have a 6 month old now and will defiantly... More

Stopped here for a quick lunch. Was not sure what to expect. I had no idea what a loose meat sandwich is. It is a sloppy joe without the sauce. I would say its ok, probably a local thing. But it was good quality, fries were good. Staff was great. The restaurant itself is a walk back in time, but... More

On our first visit to Omaha we were taken to B and G. It's our 3 year old granddaughter's favorite spot. We were a bit dubious but the place is really cute. We all got the signature loose meat burger. It was good tasting, but not my favorite. But the fries were really great! They play oldies which I loved... More
