An excellent steak house that caters to business diners. Steaks are some of the best, and service is high end. One of the best restaurants in Omaha. Go at Happy Hour when the hors d'oeuvres are priced right. You can make a meal on them alone.

For my 60th birthday we chose a special restaurant to celebrate. Having never eaten here before we didn't know what to expect. It was a very delicious experience with an upscale atmosphere. The service was top notch and the food was delectable. The steak was cooked to perfection and the family style scalloped potatoes were amazing. Our dessert was a... More

Great bartenders and cocktails. Steak of top quality and cooked exactly as ordered. But as expected, bring your checkbook. The wine is especially pricey but a nice selection. Service is Midwestern friendly. I 5 star rated 801 but I prefer Mahogany if I'm going to spend a bundle.

My wife, myself and another couple visited 801 to celebrate the end of summer. We had from the bone in strip to bone in filet all the steak where as expected, exceptional! Loved the sides as well, in particular the Blue cheese potatoes! The food was expertly prepared and presented. The surprise was in the lapse in service during our... More

Our hotel bartender set us up at 801, even made our reservations and selected our waiter. This is a fine old chop house with a 1920s cattleman feel, without being corny. Our view of the giant golden bull in the dining room was... intimate, to say the least. Fine dining service was top-of-the-line, and the beef was spectacular. 801 boasts... More

We had something to celebrate, a friend suggested we try the chophouse so off we went. The food was good but not as good as I was expecting. Our waiter must not have wanted to be there because his level of service showed it.

Beautiful old school steak house in the historic Paxton Manor. Rich dark wood decor. Service is top notch. Awesome craft cocktails. I had one of the best fillets I've had in years. Cooked to perfection. My wife had scallops that were cooked to perfection as well. Prices were reflective of the quality. Although a bit pricey, the cost was worth... More

A place to get five star treatment. You will pay for it but the food and Service were excellent. We had the prime rib and I have never seen a cut that thick. It was delicious. Atmosphere is perfect for a quiet relaxing dinner. A must visit while in Omaha.

This is my favorite Omaha restaurant. Happy hour is worth the trip and you can make it your whole meal if you want. The Troon martini, made with grapefruit juice, is my all time favorite. Try any of the happy hour appetizers or the salmon for a meal. And the garlic mashed potatoes are the best! It's not a cheap... More

The 801 Chophouse is a great place to go for a special occasion. The food is exceptional, and the service is impeccable. The only concern for some people will be the cost. This is not an inexpensive restaurant. My husband and I went there for a special occasion, but we haven't been back since because of the expense. It's a... More
