I drove to Omaha from Tucson, Az & friends drove from Pittsburgh, Pa to attend the 2016 NCAA CWS in Omaha. I was informed by another friend of Amota's as she had watched a TV program on the cafe & thought it would be a good place to have breakfast. My friends & I, 4 of us, arrived at 9:30am... More

We ate here in January. The service was virtually non-existent, the food was over-priced and the Walmart brand coffee (seriously) was bad. We were probably fortunate our server never returned to give us a refill. My breakfast was pretty basic...eggs, pancakes and bacon. I paid over $11 (with nominal tip). I can get the same thing, only better, at Village... More

We all tried the ricotta pancakes for breakfast....they were delicious! This place isn't much to look at but the food is very good. We had good service too. We would definitely eat here again.

There are a few places in the US where breakfast is legendary. Cascone's Grill in KC and Amato's-Omaha come to mind. Do not miss the opportunity to have eggs, Italian steak, potato, and Italian toast with red tomato sauce on the side. Ricotta pancakes also are a sure bet. Good service, good location, and a great breakfast spot.

After having been on DD &D, we were looking forward to trying Amato's. We were there on a Saturday afternoon, hoping for a nice Italian dinner. We were told they only serve breakfast on Saturday's, so that was our first disappointment. I ordered the Italian omelet, which came with a side of fried potatoes. It was just-so, nothing spectacular by... More

From out of town, stayed at local hotel and they told us of this place. Coming back this June and will stop for breakfast again.

Breakfast with friends. I had the pancakes which were good. But I think $8.25 for 2 pancakes with no sides is pricey. A diner experience smells VERY greasy. Parking is difficult. .but it also surrounded by other businesses. I probably won't return due to price & what you do not get. Friendly efficient waitress.

Food was average, service was average, place is average, but worth a try. When I walked in @ 6:45 I was told it may be a while we don't have a cook, even through they opened @ 6:30 by 7:15 they hadn't opened the register. I may have caught them on a bad day or it may be consistent.

This little establishment has been reviewed by Guy on 3D! Amatos is a family owned business that served up fresh food that's made to order! The pancakes are huge and portion sizes are generous! The price is pretty average so it's not an eat on the cheap but it is worth the $! If your watching your waistline then I... More

Amato's is a local diner in Omaha serving very good food. Three of us had their signature ricotta pancakes. They are huge, filling and we rated them very good to excellent. One is enough for an average appetite. The house-made sausage is a great accompaniment. Given the popularity, the other dishes are probably also very good. Service was friendly and... More
