How anyone can 'review' Sage Bistro as anything other than a 'student experiment' is ridiculous. That being said, my personal experiences there have been beyond impressive! Service with intention, entrees well crafted, etc.

We have been going to the Sage Bistro since before it moved to the new building. THE BEST place to get a gourmet meal experience without breaking the bank. The students make the bread and the SAGE BUTTER (where they get the name) is amazing!! MAKE SURE TO COME HUNGRY!! They have a static menu and you can check online... More

Yes, it can be a bit uneven, yes it's not always open and you absolutely must call ahead to see if it is, but when it's good it's very very good.

If you are looking for delicious food, a casual atmosphere, wonderful service and great prices, try out the student-run Sage Bistro. Part of the culinary institute at Metro Community College, this little gem was introduced to me on one of my last days in Omaha. I am so disappointed I will not get the chance to go again before leaving... More

Where else in the area can you get fantastic salmon pasta for just under $9? Nowhere. If this was a stand alone restaurant it would be top 10 in Omaha, but since it's buried in North Omaha, it doesn't get noticed as much. I highly suggest anybody try this place. Make it a special evening with a date or family... More

Noticed the culinary school listing, and remembered the great meal we had at Kendall College in Chicago. The service started a bit off, the menu was not quite clear, and the wait staff, a mature student, wasn't quite able to explain. And I still don't know what the bread they served was. It was explained a couple different ways (German... More

I am always in search of good food for a good price. Today I dared to go to a culinary school on the first day of the lunch menu in September. I was not disappointed. I walked in ans was greeted by the executive chef. He made sure that I was immediately led to a table and my server was... More

Wow....beautiful setting with windows on two sides...unique gas fireplace..wonderful staff that answered all questions we poised...food presentations were fantastic..and the price?....a pittance for services provided. Oh..the chocolate cake was great finish. We had the unique garden salad, a signature Reuben sandwich, & steak & frites special!
