We were recommended this restaurant by a local and were a little confused when we first arrived, as you don't get a menu - it's a set menu of 4 courses, which I assume changes regularly (daily or weekly?). However, this was fine for my...family as we eat pretty much anything and as each course arrived, the food was amazing! 2 of the courses were fish so again, if you're fussy or don't eat fish, then check the menu for that day before you go. The outside setting is very pretty, a really nice, relaxed atmosphere and our waiter was friendly and attentive. It's a little off of the main street so is nice and quiet too. It is a bit pricey though, with the set menu being 47 Euros per person and the wine on top, but it was my daughters birthday.More

Nicely situated restaurant in L'Isle sur la Sorgue. Outside they advertise lunch menus at €18 which seemed a steal. Inside the lunch menu consists of one starter, one main and one desert. No choice at all. So far so OK. The food was good although...portions were small. Then it turns out that the affordable lunch menus are only on during weekdays, and this one cost €42 which you find out at the end.... Not OK so be very careful with these people..More

Really loved this restaurant. Set in a garden amongst numerous trees and bushes, the dinner experience was delightful with wonderful service. There is not a menu. Simply a 4 course dinner according to the chef that day. Normally this would worry me, but it was...first class. So much so that we came twice in a week.More

We had a nice table outside, excellent service, and a very fine meal. There is one menu to choose from which proved to be a very good suggestion. Fine wines on the wine card.

In May of 2019 we again were in L'Isle for a months vacation in the Luberon. Our Sunday morning is the huge market in L'Isle, and we still find the best place for a wonderful lunch is at Le Jardin du Quai. This year we...ate there 3 times, and all three times the food was terriffic. The menu changes fairly often, depending on what is fresh in the area, but it has always been top class, tasty, and superbly presented. We always select to sit in the garden (only once did we ever have to eat inside) and enjoy the weather, out of doors, and food and wine. The staff is very friendly, and helpful, but bear in mind that on Sunday at lunchtime there are no seat reservations, and the garden fills quickly. A full house/garden can be expected on that day, so bring some time with you so you can thoroughly enjoy your lunch. My recommendation - sit outside, and order at least 3 courses. Incidentally the house wines are very good choice.More

Had been to l'isle Sur la Sorgue many times and heard about this restaurant a few times. So in the recent trip, we finally visited the place for the first time. Then, we went back twice more in the next few days...and yes, it's that...good! The restaurant actually consists of two restaurants, a fine dining restaurant with fixed menu and a bistro with regular menu. We ate at both places during our trip. All the dishes were very good. The amuse-bouche (for our English speakers, it's one of the fancier names of appetizers - even though strictly speaking, people will tell you that it's not an appetizer) of the fixed menu in our meal was the grilled scallop and razor clam, and it was excellent! It's a small dish (see the photo), but the flavors were complex and just perfect. Then, there was our favorite dish at the restaurant - "petit farcis" (provençal stuffed vegetables). It's served at the bistro and we loved it. It's delicious and healthy...simply great, and the exact our understanding of provençal cuisine. The staff were very friendly and had good suggestions when we asked the questions. We highly recommend this place if you ever visit l'isle Sur la Sorgue.More

Well, what a delightful place this is and one of those places in Provence that one has to see. This ‘island city’ lies at the foot of the Vaucluse plateau in the plains of Comtat Venaissin. It is a gorgeous little town and is surrounded...by canals with bridges and spattered with water wheels which are an amazing sight. We were lucky enough to be in the town for two weeks which gave us plenty of time to explore in the glorious weather we experienced. The ambience of the riverside was quite intoxicating as we walked alongside the many cafes and restaurants and it was exciting choosing somewhere to eat - we even had a man playing french music on the accordion. Oh la la! We experienced lunch time eating and also evening and the cafes looked pretty and inviting with the lights on at night. We can thoroughly recommend a visit here but do not make it a short one as there is much to see. There is a large Office du Tourism and the team in there are very helpful. There are a vast amount of very interesting Antique Shops to spend time in as well.More

This restaurant has just become our favourite in the area: food was creative and well-executed and the setting was beautiful. Service can feel a little aloof but we were there for the food so it didn't bother us much. A note to consider: they serve...fixed menu for a fixed price with no substitution or change. We think it's brave of them to do that in the age of allergies and special diets but it works really well for us: we get to try and experience new things while saving us from making decisions on what to eat. We will be back.More
