About
Reine SAMMUT is Chef since 1975 ! She learns at first with her mother-in-law, and she is now one of our best Chef in France. Her,cooking is a Mediterranean cooking of heart, inspired by the cooking of her mother-in-law Claudette. By her passion, her precision... in the French gastronomy, she is decorated with a one Star Michelin in 1995. Today, she makes a commitment beside her daughter Nadia SAMMUT ( coeliac sick person) in a Cuisine Libre, without gluten, with pleasure, by proposing an accessible gourmet cuisine! The Auberge la Feniere becomes the first one strar Michelin gourmet restaurant without gluten.

This is one of the only restaurants we have found in France where food sensitivities are absolutely accounted for and even celebrated. From a gluten and dairy-free kitchen to a wide range of menu items, condiments and side dishes, it was a relief to be...More

Reading the reviews after going for dinner, we now realise that this restaurant is apparently gluten free, which may explain why we found the food somewhat lacking in flavours. We walked in off the street with no reservation and they were able to accommodate us...More

As a coeliac, a meal at this restaurant was unlikely to disappoint. It didn't. Attention to detail was exceptional and it was a nice touch that the head chef (Nadia) visited/ greeted each table throughout their meal. Make no mistake though, this is not a...More

The surrounding is beautiful and you see there's a lot of effort put in. Dinner was good, but nothing special I would recommend. Prices are as expected in gastronomy, not cheap, not expensive. Friendly staff.

We followed Anthony Peregrine's article "Provence Scenic Drives" in the Daily Telegraph and called in to the bistro here for lunch. The setting is really idyllic and the food is well prepared but oh, the service was appalling. I can safely say I have never...More
