I had a morning to kill in Anchorage before catching an international flight home to Sydney so was keen to find a good “American Diner” to have a lazy brunch at. Dan, the operator of Alaskan Footprint Food Tours (good guy and great tour by the way so check them out?) recommend this place so that was the plan. The entrance is tucked away off a main road but that hadn’t deterred the many people who were already eating when I arrived. The efficient manager was busy greeting regulars, serving tables and seating others and whilst the place was busy, everyone seemed happy and stuff was getting done in a timely fashion. I took a seat at the counter and pretty soon was greeted and welcomed by others once they realised I was from out of town. Friendly place and great menu but I’d been recommended to try “chicken fried steak” which I did, with scrambled eggs and a side of hash brown. Loved it and really enjoyed my meal - well cooked, well presented and very very tasty - a great meal to set me up for a long day of travel ahead! Staff were friendly and efficient, the food arrived quite quickly despite the number of covers they were managing and it was a great place topeoll watch and soak up the atmosphere of a good local food place. Great advice from Dan which I’m happy to pass on so thanks again Dan and thanks to the staff and customers at Jackie’s place for giving me such a great experience on my last day in Anchorage.

Janice and Team consistently provide great service w amazing food. The Restraunt is very clean and provides a friendly environment. A local favorite for breakfast, I cannot say enough about the John’s omelet or loco moco, once you visit this place you are sure to return for years to come.

Service was great, food was good. We had Eggs Benedict, a patty melt, and corn beef hash and eggs. Although we asked for onions to be well done on the patty melt, only a few were well cooked. But it all tasted good. If we are in the area we will go back

Great service, food came out quickly (but not the bad kind of quickly), everything super fresh. I got the chorizo eggs benedict with home fries, and my husband got chicken fried steak. Eggs were cooked perfectly for both dishes, as was everything else!

It has been a while since I have been to Jackie's Place, but it is amazing. Great Friendly staff, really good food, and large portions. I usually just go here for breakfast for a good start to the day.

Late Sunday morning breakfast/brunch, jam packed, long wait for the food, over a half hour once I ordered, just way too many people, standing out the door in the rain and the kitchen can hardly keep up with the orders. Good food though and friendly service.

I really enjoyed the breakfast here. Jackies had the best coffee since I have been here in Anchorage. The ambiance is quaint. I had the Hawaiian French toast. Being tired of reindeer sausage I chose bacon. The food was fantastic and the service top notch. Special shout out to Emily and her "New York" humor. In Anchorage this is a go to place.

Stopped in for breakfast. Definitely has a locals feel. Biggest assortment of omelettes ive ever seen. Probably 3/4 servers walking around and each asking to help. Will be my go to when I’m in town

We arrived in Alaska really early on a Sunday and needed a solid homemade breakfast. This was the place! Not only were the people super nice, but the food was fresh, hot, and tasty!

My husband and I were fortunate enough to eat here twice while in Anchorage. Our server Cindy was fast and friendly, and kept our coffee mugs full! Their breakfast menu is quite vast and you could eat there for month and not have the exact same meal twice. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Hawaiian Bread French toast. The place does have a fun local vibe as mentioned in other reviews, and the food is so much better than at a chain restaurant!

I had breakfast here during a solo visit to Anchorage. You seat yourself and the staff is attentive and friendly. I am not a meat eater, so I found the options somewhat limited, but those who partake would find a wide variety of options. I had a build-your-own omelet, which was good. I also ordered a sweet roll and it was HUGE. Four people could share that big thing. Overall, this is a solid option!

We stopped in here for breakfast after reading thru trip advisor reviews about it being a favourite amongst the locals. It’s easy to see why! It’s a very homey restaurant, very welcoming, staff seem genuinely happy and offer exceptional service, the food is homemade and absolutely delicious. We had diced ham and scrambled eggs with home fries and a country breakfast special. The servings were very generous. It cost around $25.
