Ray is a great place, just the right amount of funk, just the right amount of class, try the Vietnamese halibut with brown rice and fresh rolls with Hue beer, you won't regret it.

This is a Vietnamese restaurant run by Ray's family (Ray is no longer with us). The food is good, the serving size is a bit on the large size for me but you can always take home the leftovers. The folks are very friendly. We like this place.

I are here for the first time a couple of months ago. I had the meatball pho. The broth was not flavorful and they did not supply our table with fresh garnish. The prices were nice it was about $9 for a bowl. Nevertheless, the staff was courteous and kind. I will go back just probably try something else.

"Ray's Place" seems oddly named for a Vietnamese restaurant -- but once you step inside, and taste their yummy food, you'll know that you've arrived at a genuine southeast Asian eatery :)) Be sure to sample their Bahn Zeo (savory Vietnamese pancakes) by rolling up pieces of the crunchy filled "crepe" inside the lettuce leaves, then dip in the chili-fish... The family owned and operated Rays place, is the premier Vietnamese food restaurant in Anchorage. The Lemon Chicken and spring rolls are always divine. So much so, that I have not ordered a different dish in over 10 years. The service is with a smile and they aim to put a smile on your face as well. As for MiMi... More

A couple of coworkers highly recommended this place. Finally had a chance to stop by while traveling through Anchorage. A friendly family run Vietnamese restaurant. Excellent and fast service! Food is excellent. We had an appetizer of fresh spring rolls - some of the best I've ever had. As entrees we had the beer duck, broccoli beef, and an order... More

I frequent this place for their Curry! I've had other items also - all delish! Clean place, always busy - go early to get a good spot. Not expensive at all, lunch 12.00-15.00 maybe.

A pleasant, family run place, with good vietnamese food, and good service; not fancy dining, but perfectly acceptable for a mid week meal.

This is a nice change from the new strip mall style Pho places here. An old house style restaurant. Easy to find across the street from the legendary Chilkoot Charlie's Bar. The service and food are good. The menu is large and varied. The bar is in another room from the restaurant.
