I had heard this was a great FINE dining stop in Anchorage but they were very much beyond my expectation. We had the private dinning room for 7 of us. We started with Great wine and oysters. The service was just Great. She was available...when needed but did not hover. Dishes were cleared as needed and nothing ever cluttered the table. Our main course were ordered and special request were accepted.. Except Hollandaise Sauce...all special request were on point. Shrimp and Grits was voted the best dish, followed by all others. EVERYTHING was Great. Dessert was a mixture of three dishes and all were great. I look forward to our return to this great spot.More

We came here for an early dinner without a reservation but was warmly welcomed and seated right away. We ordered the oysters for the appetizer ,the Alaskan Halibut and the Kodiak scallops. The knowledgeable staff recommended an excellent Sauvignon Blanc to pair with the meal...and the creme brulee and port to finish. The service was top notch and the food was fresh, tasty and well presented. We would have loved to return for another experience but it was our last night. Definitely one of the highlights on our trip. Highly recommended.More

It had been too long since we visited Kincaid Grill and we won't make that mistake again! Nice ambiance, great service, imaginative flavors, interesting menu and specials, extensive wine list, and I can enjoy a care-free celiac gluten-free meal. What more do you need? A...much better experience than we've had recently at several fine dining establishments in Anchorage. And they're consistent. I had the scallops-cooked perfectly--and my partner had the black cod--also perfect and nicely spiced. Our friends had the set plate that night, delicious, and commented that the pairings were just right. Make a reservation when restaurants are up and running again and give yourself lots of time - it's really a nice venue to linger over a meal.More

Great hospitality and food! We enjoyed the lamp chop appetizer and crab cakes as well as the seafood dinners. This place is a little pricey but a perfect place for a celebration of any kind...we were celebrating our arriving in Anchorage to see the Iditarod!

While in Anchorage this week, I decided to visit the Kincaid Grill based solely on other Tripadvisor reviews. And I am so glad I did!! I started out by ordering the 2016 King Estate Pinot noir (Willamette Valley) for my wine. I have become quite...the fan of Willamette Valley Pinot noirs over the last year and this one definitely did not disappoint. For starters I ordered a half dozen of Alaska Gold Oysters. They were large, firm oysters with a great briney finish. The chef prepared an innovative mignonette made w Tabasco, a touch of lemon, and simple syrup, frozen to the consistency of a slushi and placed on top of the oysters. Bottom line: full oyster flavor with sweet, briny and touch of hot texture with a huge amount of liquor present. Every bit as good (if not better!) than my favorite Chincoteague oysters. (Which, if you follow any of my reviews you will know is HUGE). For my entree, I chose the Kodiak Scallops: served with spinach risotto, balsamic reduction, encrusted cauliflower, sweet pea shoots. The scallops had a perfect sear; they were sweet, not too firm and not at all dry or chewy. When taken with the spinach risotto it was a perfect balance of disparate textures with complementary flavors. I hate cauliflower but wound up eating all of it. Cooked to just a slight crunch but still al dente with a dusting of Parmesan and bread crumbs The Spinach Risotto which accompanied the scallops was a Beautiful green color with a perfect texture (just enough resistance to the teeth to make you enjoy that little bit of additional texture. In addition to the balsamic reduction, there is a lemon caper cream sauce underlying the risotto; despite being lemon it adds a lightness and touch of sweetness to the sauce. In the realm of scallop dishes presented other than au natural, this is the best scallop presentation I have eaten — ever. I also opted to order the appetizer Lamp lollipops to finish things up. I should have paid closer attention to the description. The chops were cooked perfectly BUT I failed to notice that they were described as having a yellow curry marinade. I am more of a lamb purist and a curry minimalist, so ordering this was my mistake. The chops also came with a tzatziki sauce with pickled onions on the side. In other words, a very Greek/Middle Eastern preparation that was not within my preferences. But like I said - my fault, not theirs. Rather than finish them, I decided to enjoy the rest of my wine. Again, I must say that THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE PREPARATION - I just ordered without actually reading the menu. My bad, not theirs. Service: My server Kim was friendly, attentive, informative, conversational (in a good way), and especially attuned as to whether the food and wine were meeting my expectations. She showed that perfect balance that only experienced and caring servers have: I could tell that she was serious in determining whether or not the food from the menu met my expectations but was not actually intrusive in my dinner experience. It was much like eating out with a friend who cared that the food etc. was to my liking versus having a server who wanted to make sure that her tip would not be in jeopardy. If Kincaid Grill has a bonus for its servers who are mentioned positively in a review, Kim should get double. I have two more evenings in Anchorage. The chances are extremely good that at least one them will be spent back here at Kincaid grill.More

We've been going here since it opened and have always been pleased. They have a no-reservation bar seating area with a full menu in addition to the more formal dining areas. Great for dropping in after a cross-country ski down the road at Kincaid Park....The service is top notch with waiters knowledgeable of both the food and wine. The atmosphere is quiet without being stuffy. We often come as a couple but take our kids here for a "semi-formal" experience. The menu has a moderate number of appetizers, salads and entrees that include meat, seafood and poultry. There is usually an off menu special and a set course meal with wine pairings. We've hardly ever been totally disappointed with the food and we love the atmosphere.More

Don’t let the strip mall location deter you, Kincaid grill is arguably the finest restaurant in Anchorage. The longtime servers are professional and will do whatever it takes to make your meal perfect. The seafood is the freshest available and the preparations are inventive and...delicious. Go off your low carb diet to have a serving of their delicious breads. Make sure to order the chocolate soufflé ahead of time. Reservations a must - but bar tables with full menu can be had on same day.More

this place has quite an unusual location-on the way to the airport, but it was rated number 1 and we gave it a try. Very cool: all dishes are super delicious (main dishes especially and of course a special chocolate cake!!!). service is attentive, wine...card is great. No cocktails though. We will be back. Thank you, Aaron for a great service.More

The fresh black cod with squash and curry sauce was amazing. Visiting from MN but would come back again if I make it back to AK.

I don't believe Kincaid Grill issues them directly. I looked at Costco yesterday and they do have some but only for the real large enterprises here in Anchorage. There are a number of sources who do issue these for Kincaid... More
