In town for a long weekend from Juneau. Having previously lived in Anchorage, I got on Trip Advisor searching for some new restaurants to try while in "the big city". The Red Chair sounded great, so I made it my first stop when I got into town. I had been up since 4am and had only eaten a granola bar.... More

Brunch with my sister was awesome at this trendy little spot. Little bit of a wait for food but, so fresh and well worth the wait. So good we wanted to go back the next day for lunch.

Amazing food, service was a bit slow but we were a large group. I would go there again in a heart beat.

Absolutely wonderful breakfast place. Great coffee, great service, and the best eggs Benedict I have ever had. Their hollandaise sauce is perfect. Kind of an eclectic place that seems to be frequented by locals. Local who enjoy great food!

In town for meetings and stumbled across this funky place. Glad we did! Service was great even though we waited a bit for lunch. The wait was well worth it. Excellent food well prepared and presented. Very nice setting to boot.

Can’t get a reservation at Snow City Café or don’t want the long lines, try The Red Chair Café, an excellent recommendation from the Log Cabin Visitor Info. Center. You won’t find many tourists because of its location. It was a good morning walk from our hotel, which was not only good exercise but acquainted us with Anchorage. It’s located... More

Started our road trip to Wrangell-St. Elias with an early morning stop at Red Chair. My wife's suggestion - definitely lived up to her recommendation. The food was clearly made from scratch with premium ingredients by someone who knew what they were doing and more importantly the coffee was great. This will be a regular when visiting Anchorage.

My wife and I had breakfast there, and we both thought their food was great, the restaurant has good ambience, the staff was attentive and friendly, definitely worth trying out, I went with omelette my wife the the gluten-free kale egg dish (forgot actual name), both where great.

Had a long day planned for Sunday so started a bit later with breakfast at The Red Chair Cafe. Just a short block from the Sheraton you would never know that another hip and tasty paradise awaits. Got lucky and snagged one of the last tables for 2 before the 45 minute waits began. They take reservations so keep that... More
