I live in Anchorage and I've heard people rave about Orso. I went one during lunch, and once during their dinner service, different dishes at each. There was nothing bad about the experiences, but it was really disappointing to expect a great diner experiences and come away feeling ho-hum, especially when you get the bill. However, I've heard other people... More

Loved this restaurant! Our waitress was friendly and fabulous. They have something for everyone, including a gluten-free menu, and a vegetarian menu, and will accommodate the finickiest of teenagers! Great cocktails, fun bar area, and most importantly, delicious food!

Long wait on a Saturday night but worked out well for us because by the time we got to order the 9pm happy hour prices had kicked in - great value for delicious food. We went with a bunch of small plates to share and it was all good

Perfect food and service in this restaurant. Nice decor as well. It pays to make a reservation if you want to avoid the long line at peak dinner hours. A good choice of Alaskan boutique beers as well. I would definitely go back here.

The restaurant is almost on the up-scale mark, but you don't feel out of place with your blue jeans on - but it is Alaska after all! The Food is wonderful. We each had a different entree (4 of us) and we all enjoyed our choices. The service was perfect! Showed up when you needed something but didn't hover. I... More

Great atmosphere. Bartender and server were wonderful and offered lots of suggestions. They have a great Happy Hour and their appetizers are amazing! You could just sit in the bar area and be completely satisfied. Great place to just sit and relax

My family (3 adults, 1 child)came here because the wait time was far less than at nearby restaurants. We ordered several menu items to try. Crispy ravioli with pesto and marinara for dipping was a big hit with everyone ($5.95). The other appetizer was the seafood verde, my brother and his wife enjoyed it. Our main courses: child's meal was... More

Formerly in my top three favorite restaurants in Anchorage, I'm not sure who changed, Orso or me. How we have grown apart. On my most recent trip, my glass of basil lemonade was the high point. So sad. The crab-stuffed rockfish on puréed cauliflower was eh. Lots of great ingredients all blended so they cancelled each other out. The crispy... More

After a fun but exhausting day traveling around Anchorage, my mom and I were interested in eating something light. Orso had been recommended, so we stopped in for a drink. We found immediate seating at the bar and the server came up shortly thereafter to take our drink order. We also ordered crab cakes and the crispy ravioli - all... More

A friend who lived in Anchorage recommended Orso for our visit, the food was very good, and the service exceptional, a good place to have a formal meal after a week travelling through Alaska.
