King crab was phenomenal at $79.95 for 1 1/2 pounds. Best price we saw in Alaska and they were delicious. Came with broccoli and potatoes. Halibut special was great as well. Drinks strong and well prepared. If you are trying to decide between here and...49 th state. Go here. Good service.More
First lunch stop in Anchorage on our tour an we found Glacier Brewhouse. Awesome lunch. Sliders and shrimp with red peppers and chowder were all very good. The chowder especially was quite tasty. The sliders were a bit tough but flavorful.
Good Bloody Mary as...well.More
This was my first time visiting Anchorage; however, my friends that lived here in the past gave me a list of places to eat at. Glacier Brewhouse was on that list. I ate here twice, and ordered the same thing each time - the "Crab-stuff...cod". The place is popular but the bar area is open seating. The interior is very cabin feel with a model approach. They also brew their own beers.More
We ate here twice - at the start, and at the end of our Alaska adventure. For appetizers, we enjoyed the salmon dip though we thought it would go better with pita bread. We loved the Alaskan Cod with Crab stuffing so we ordered it...on both occasions! Also enjoyed the Alaskan Salmon (entre) which was cooked just right - still a blush of pink on the inside. This is so unlike most places which tend to overcook the fish. The place was very busy so best to make reservations.More
This is a very cool place, which makes it super busy after about 4:30 if you don't have reservations. But the bar has lots of seatings (and standings) and you can order meals there the same as in the sit-down portion.
Food is quite good,...try the fireweed beer.
When in the bar also you can see the chef's preparing meals on the wood fire. Very enteretaining.More
One of our favorite spots. We went here twice on our Alaskan land trip and stay in Anchorage. Great appetizers and location started our experience. Electric atmosphere and friendly clientele added to our meal. Fun and delicious! Great combination
We ended up here because everywhere else had a 1-2 hour wait on a Sunday trying to find brunch. It's good, but the portions aren't large. I liked how you could watch the kitchen it was like watching a reality show or something. My lemon...drop was good, very sour, but could not taste any alcohol. No beer suggestions were given, basically just read the menu. We got the chicken sandwich and the fish and chips. Chicken was good, but thin and the coleslaw was not good. The fish was good, but you only got 2 small pieces. Fries were good, but not crispy enough. Bread pudding was huge and delicious. It was sweet, soft, the pecans added a nice crunch. I thought it was a little overpriced for what you got. I wouldn't mind going back, but only as a second choice so I don't have to wait 2 hrs for a table.More
Nope. Dinner starts at 5.. However, I believe you can still order appetizers/bar food.. Honestly, it's better to call and ask the establishment instead of posting a question that most people wouldn't know the answer to.
