This is a no frills restaurant with great food and wonderful staff. I have lived in AK for quite awhile but this is the first time I ate at the conveniently located establishments. I had the fish and chips. The cod was fresh, fries super and I loved the generous portions of both plus the great Cole slaw. My friends... More

service right away was a big plus. Food was spot on. The pancake was huge and thick, a meal by itself. Very clean.

We had lunch here and enjoyed the food. The prices were a little higher than we expected but the burger and chili were great. Make sure to get the onions and cheese on the chili.

My wife and I really enjoyed the bowl of chili and fish and chips. Service was friendly and fairly quick. We went twice during our vacation in July of 2016.

We visited Kriner's 4 times on our trip. Each time we tried something different. Burgers are ample and cooked to order. The meat loaf, mashed potatoes, and corn was good with enough for two. The sandwiches and tots are also great with large portions. take home some leftovers and enjoy a homemade slice of cake or pie. you won't regret... More

This is a place you can always depend on. Why don't more restaurant owners take as much interest in their food as Kriners? Super good.

Breakfast with a friend. Service was good. Kind of an old building. Molding around the front door fell off while I was there. My friend ordered reindeer sausage and eggs. She reports the meal tasted great and the portion was good sized. I had chicken fried steak and eggs. The chicken fried steak was very over done. The gravy was... More

I really, really want to like this place and write a nice review, because this is one of those honest, unpretentious family-owned local diners that every town should have. And so it is, but don’t go here expecting gourmet fare and then complain about it later. That’s not what Kriner’s is about. Here you get simple fare simply prepared, served... More

It was our first day in Anchorage and we were walking to Walmart to get supplies for our trip. Hungry after a morning at Anchorage Museum we were looking for somewhere to lunch and stumbled across Kriner's Diner. What a great find! We only ordered fries and a drink, but it was hot and really good. The drinks were topped... More

We stopped here for breakfast as the Snow City cafe was jammed packed. What luck!! The food was great (try the corned beef hash!) and the service was excellent. Our coffee cups were never less than 1/2 full before a refresh and our waitress was terrific. For a great meal without the wait and expense try this place!!!
