When we come to the big city we often go by Great Harvest for a few loaves to take home. The Chugach Rustic (sourdough) is a must, lately we have been getting the cinnamon chip. My personal favorite is the cherry chocolate. They make excellent sandwiches too. My only complaint is lately the past year they seem to be out... More

If you like bread, you have to go to Great Harvest Bread. As you walk in they great you with a smile and temp you with generous samples of the breads they are offering that day. As we were visiting, we weren't able to buy a loaf, but the samples were delicious! We were very pleased with the cinnamon rolls... More

This place is sinful! They greet you with genuine smiles, offering a generous slice of their daily bread menu. Truly scrumptious! Love their cookies -- especially the salted caramel. Their sandwiches are made to order, quickly and to exact specifications. The staff all seem to enjoy their jobs, working together as a team for exceptional service. Everything is clean and... More

When visiting Anchorage we have to visit. Our neighborhood has a phone tree just for Great Harvest. Our review is like others who love the store. Two wishes are the owners would bring back their special blended trail mix & they figure out the sunrise roll recipe served at Clackamas Great Harvest in Oregon.

I love their cinnamon swirl bread. I'm embarrassed to say how long a loaf will last. I turn into a glutton. Cinnamon swirl is the only thing I buy, but have tasted the samples, which are graciously given out. Heck, I'm a pig with the samples too. Whether they are the whole-wheat bread or the sweet ones, with white chocolate.... More

This is a great place to get sandwiches and bread to go. We ordered sandwiches here to take down to the Portage Glacier on our drive down to Seward. They were delicious! Try the pesto bread!

I do so love this bakery. From the free treats (tastes of breads and sometimes cookies, etc.), to the actual breads themselves it is a great place. Friendly staff, all kinds of breads, from the white chocolate with cherries (I think) to the regular types. All good, ALL the time! They offer gift baskets that include a very sharp knife... More
