Atmosphere was great! I ordered seafood chowder first. Came out cold and I returned it... My friend and I ordered ribeyes. She wanted med rare and I wanted medium. The first steak came and the person who delivered it said that was medium. I cut...the steak in half and it was indeed medium. The second steak came and the girl said this is medium and that is medium rare. Then I took the second steak and gave what I had to my friend. I cut the second steak and it was well done. I told the server that I’m returning it and she talked back and said…” this is the second food that is wasted” WTF?? So I went ahead and talked management….I told her I don’t asked for discounts nor not paying for anything. I want the issue fixed and I will never recommend this place to anyone! Do not go there if I were you.More

Great service and awesome food plus the igloo dining was a bonus. Would definitely go again if I was in the area.

Four of us went here for dinner. I think we ordered everything on the menu. It was all wonderful. The igloos were a lot of fun.

They told me that my 9pm reservation for an igloo would be ready by 10:15. They have a 1.5 hour igloo policy, but they do not enforce it. The food is not good enough to be seated inside. So I requested my $30 reservation fee...be refunded and I have to wait a week for that. Meanwhile I watched as a few other groups were escorted to the igloos. Don’t chance it!!! They obviously overbook and food service must’ve been slow that groups needed longer than 1.5 hours to eat!!More

Aside from the service being slow- I was wondering if they did not like serving non-whites, the food was mediocre. The server brought out my hot foods with my salad, so I had to eat my soup and fries before they got cold. We waited...a very long time for service.More

My husband and I were staying in Inlet Tower and decided to grab a bite to eat. This was about 8-830PM, so not too late. We have lived in Alaska for 4 years with multiple trips to Anc (not just for pleasure but also necessity...and business as we live rurally), and we have eaten multiple times at the swankier restaurants in Anc. We wanted to try something new, and the atmosphere was cute and promising. We always order what we want typically despite price and are above average tippers (usually 20-30%). We walked down to the restaurant, and there was a woman playing live music in the bar. We did not feel like listening to music, so we asked if there were outside seats available. The bartender asked a waiter if they were still seating outside and if he would want another table. He said yes, for us walk out the front of the hotel to meet him outside, and he would seat us. We were given menus and drink lists. I took my time, and he wasn't outside when I entered the gate to outside seating. After a few minutes, someone else seated me in one of their igloos amd was told our server would be Anders. Now, there's seating outside that isn't an igloo, and this isn't something we necessarily asked for. We had not researched the restaurant since it was in our hotel, so we thought nothing of it. There were about three other occupied igloos. After a few more minutes of waiting, a server (not Anders) came into the igloo and said he would be our server. That's fine for us - we aren't picky about our servers. He immediately asks "Did you all walk in?" I tried to explain that we asked for outdoor seating and were seated here, and he remarked "I'm just asking because people pay 30 dollars to reserve these igloos. So you just walked in?" Again, I tried to explain we are staying in the hotel and asked if they were seating outside, that we were told nothing about a fee, and did not specifically ask for the igloo. He didn't seem interested in listening to understand our side of the story. He asks for our drink and appetizer order. I wasn't sure, so he says "I'm just going to stand here and wait until you're ready because afterward I'll be gone for quite a few minutes." Okay, awkward, but we order my drink and an appetizer. When he walks away, while he is still outside, we hear him yelling and motioning angrily to the other staff about "the walk-ins." This was awkward and frustrating considering we did not ask for a free igloo. At this point we decided we would get my drink and our appetizer and cash out since this interaction was embarrassing, and we felt like we were being shamed. Our whole dining experience was completely ruined by our feeling patronized. We waited 30 minutes, and still had not received even my drink. After much discussion, we finally decided to leave and go elsewhere - at this point it was well after 9, so we reluctantly decided on fast food. This is honestly only the second time in my life I've walked out of a restaurant before receiving my order. This was disappointing for a restaurant that has a lot of potential, and we won't be trying again.More

The experience of eating in the igloo was fun but the food was mediocre and expensive. I ordered the halibut with a side of seafood chowder. My halibut was cold by the time it arrived and did not seem to be fresh and I never...got the chowder. The waiter bought me a Caesar salad that I did not order. I mentioned the soup to him, he acknowledged it and never bought me the soup. The gnocchi that was the side of halibut was delicious though. All in all I thought it was pretty expensive to pay $60 for cold mediocre food. I will not be backMore

Amazing experience at the Inlet Pubhouse. There was live music at night. We had the chowder, king salmon (daily special) and beef brisket, all were good. The server (James William) was excellent and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely come back the next time...we are at Alaska!More

I went here for Mother's Day Brunch on Sunday. It was quite possibly the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. We booked an igloo and the igloos are nice but the service was terrible. I ordered the Inlet Breakfast with all bacon instead of...sausage, over hard eggs and wheat toast. My husband also ordered the Inlet Breakfast with over easy eggs and my daughter ordered chicken and waffles. The expediter brought out the two Inlet Breakfasts and asked who had the scrambled eggs. I said no one had scrambled, it was over hard and over easy. She left my husbands food, took mine back to the kitchen to fix the eggs and said my daughter's food would be out in a minute. It took about 10 minutes to get our food, my daughters didn't come out until mine came out. By the time our food came out, my husband was almost done with his meal. Our food was dropped off by the expediter. After she walked away, I noticed that my meal had sausage instead of bacon and sourdough toast instead of wheat. We had been there a long time so I started eating my eggs and potatoes. The server came by to ask how it was and I told him it was bad, that I had sausage instead of bacon and sourdough toast instead of wheat. I also told him that it had come out wrong the first time since this was the first he had come to check on us. He said ok and walked off. He didn't offer to remake it, he didn't offer to bring me bacon and wheat toast. Nothing. He didn't try to do anything to make it right. He brings the bill and I thought maybe he had taken the meal off but he did not. I stopped him and said that my meal was wrong and I did not eat it, the sausage and toast were still sitting on my plate. He said he would see what he could do. He was gone for another 15 to 20 minutes before he came back and said he got me a discount. They took half off my meal, even though 3 of the 5 things on the plate were done incorrectly. I have never had such poor service at a restaurant and this is supposed to be a nice place. In addition, the food was nothing special. My husbands bacon was covered in grease and there was a puddle of grease on his plat. His English muffin was so soaked in butter that he could have wringed it out. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will never go back.More

We spent only a short time in Anchorage, Alaska however, I knew I wanted to dine at the Inlet PubHouse in order to experience dining in an igloo. Please note this is not a real igloo but only designed to resemble one. It is warm...and toasty on the inside and the December snowfall made this dining experience feel like you are in an igloo which is quite unique. I enjoyed the dining experience but Brain, our waiter, made it even more exceptional. He was friendly, paid attention to details, and made sure that we received our dinner quickly. The Alaskan King Crab was absolutely delicious!! I truly enjoyed this unique dining experience however, the Alaskan King Crab and Brain made the evening even more superb. Thanks for your great service Brian!!!More

First of all, I am not trying to be a Karen. I just want to be honest about our experience. I want to preface this review with saying that our waitress was very kind, inviting, and helpful. We booked our dinner in an igloo about...a month in advance and my girlfriend and our friends have been really looking forward to this night out. First of all, we showed up early expecting that they want to run a tight schedule. They told us that our table would be ready in about 5 - 10 minutes. We didn't get seated until 6:45 (15 minutes after our scheduled appointment). Which is fine, but they only give 1 hour and 45 minutes to stay. We ordered drinks and appetizers and didn't even get our first drink until 20 minutes into our experience. The appetizers came about 30 minutes into our time. We ordered the fish and chips and tacos. The fish and chips came out... and there was only one piece of fish on top of a handful of fries. It was great tasting.. but I have never seen fish and chips come out as one piece of fish... so each of us (4) took one bite and ate some french fries. The tacos also came out as an underwhelming presentation. We thought the "Can O' Beer" concept was pretty neat.. always getting a beer of the bartenders random choice. We got three.. turns out the random choice is always Founder's IPA. (which also I'm not mad about because I love IPA's). However, here is my main complaint. We got our meals brought to us with 7 minutes of our remaining time that is allotted to us... followed by a quick "Do you guys want any dessert because we are going to have to close your checks as our time is coming to an end." Turns out to get your $30 back from your reservation you have to spend $125 over the evening. Which thankfully we did, but that just seems excessive. Also What? We literally got our food at 8:08 with our 6:30 reservation. She brought us our checks around 8:15 while we literally scarfed down our food. Around 8:20 she politely asked us to leave and my girlfriend wasn't even 2 sips into her final glass of wine. So we chugged all her wine and left. I really wish it was a different experience, but it is what it is. I think most people have a good experience, but ours was unfortunate.More
