After a week in Alaska, we were craving some good ole Daal and Rice. This place hit the spot. The Katmandu Daal, Veg Koftas and Lamb Curry are delish. The people are so sweet and friendly as well.

I had lunch with my son. A person gets a rice bowl with a choice of two portions of a variety of choices served cafeteria style. I chose the yam dish and was more than pleased with it. The place is very casual and people were doing homework and things like that, so if relaxed is your style this is... More

Crave for some spice ? Or authentic Tibetian or Indian food in Anchorage ? Then this is your place .. Tingmo ( Tibetian steamed buns ) are delicious.. So was chicken tikka , lamb curry and chicken vindaloo .. This is a BYOB place so remember to bring your own beer.

I have had a number of meals here in the last few months. The food is consistently flavorful and the portions are very adequate. The tastes are different than most foods I have eaten in Anchorage and that is a pleasant change. The variety is limited but I would thing everyone should be able to find something they will like.... The menu at the cafe location is a little limited (rice bowls in the main), but the food was hot and delicious. Service was speedy and the atmosphere pleasant, with smells of fresh baked goods and an indoor connection to Title Wave Books (it's a really plus to be able to wander over there after eating). The hours are great,... More

How many places can eat Tibetan food and not have to climb a mountain to get to the restaurant? In Anchorage two, our first trip to Anchorage was during the holidays and unfortunately Yak and Yeti was closed during our visit -- but not this time. The decor and ambiance is pleasant, service was within moments of arrival. The crew... More

The Yak and Yeti spenard road location (note, I haven't tried the northern lights location) is consistent in quality, service, and speed. Good food, calm environment, and fast service. Small parking lot but true of most businesses in the area.

There are two of these restaurants one located on Spenard which is the small multi selection menu . The other is located in the Northern Lights Mall with a smaller selection but still very good. What I like about both of these places is the flavor and quality of food served. If you like slightly spicy food with the Nepal... More

There are two Yak & Yetis in Anchorage 1. Yak & Yeti Cafe (beside Midnight Sun & REI) which serves rice bowls, half sandwiches, and baked goods. This place is good if you are hungry and looking to eat cheap. The rice bowls are not spicy at all and are a bit bland. However, they are a good value and... More
