I wanted to like this place... we walked in and got such an odd feeling. We looked around, trying to figure out if there was table service or we needed to wait at the counter. We stood for a few minutes before someone offered to...take our order. I said that we were interested in lunch but needed menus. She seemed very out out by our request and told me that the menu was in the stand. It was a tablet that was stuck on the Taco Tuesday option (it was Saturday). She seemed entirely unwilling to assist and seemed put out that we wouldn’t order. It was uncomfortable and frustrating so we walked out.More

My husband had the breakfast burrito and I had the breakfast sandwich on a croissant. We both agreed they were probably the most flavorful and fresh tasting ones we'd had. We finished with a delightful scone-like Mexican pastry with an excellent latte and an Americano....This is a great little cafe, that also has an amazing wall display of tea, which I plan to try at our next visit!More

There is a beautiful feeling you get the moment you step in this establishment. It is like a calming and friendly feeling and very clean. The employees and owner are so nice and I brought my family member back the following day to share the...amazing coffee and sweetbread with them. You don't find this kind of quality and taste anymore in eating establishments and their coffee is the best I have ever had. The first day I visited this Tuesday, the coffee actually made my day and I pulled over in my vehicle to enjoy it. So amazing and the owner is passionate and is an artist which you don't find as much anymore in food and drink. A beautiful store and Bravo 👏.More

We stopped for a quick lunch on the way to the airport. The coffee and sandwiches were very good however it took quite a lot of time to get them. The service is extremely slow, so if you are in a hurry you should probably...cohoose a different place.More

latte, soup and salad - verrry good! This place is located down the street from our office and a couple of us drove over and tried it out. One person there to work all the orders, but the food was well worth the wait. Skip...the drive through and gas station food - get you some quality soup and salad.More

Hands down the best Cuban I've ever had! I know a few other item's on the menu are great as well, although I usually only stick to the best, the Cuban! Also, Alex, owner/operator is such a fantastic guy! Go on in and have the...best Cuban I searched years for and say hi to Alex and crew!More

Interesting menu with a lot of fresh items, including soup, salads, sandwiches, wraps, breakfasts served all day, and dinner entrees. There were a few vegetarian options and I decided on the veggie wrap. It was delicious but took 25 minutes to come out of the...kitchen!! If I had been in hurry, I would've had to get my wrap to go. If I go again, I will remember to order ahead. The staff was personable, the place was very clean, and I enjoyed the background music. It is confusing to find this location it is the same as "Ready Made Dinners" and there is also a different deli right next-door.More

Yesterday, my husband and I were in the mood to get a sandwich for lunch, and didn't want to go downtown. I looked on Google, and a place called Ready Made Dinners looked like it had potential... but what was up with the name? Well,...as it turns out, the place is actually called Ollin Cafe. Reading the menu, it's the baby of Chef Alex from Ready Made Dinners and the founders of Ollin Coffee. (I'm just explaining the confusion was with the name on Yelp. I hate it when reviews sound like a paid advertisement (I immediately ignore those), but I wanted to clarify that this is the same place as RMD.) The Cafe is in an unassuming strip mall on Tudor and Lake Otis, with a clean interior, plenty of tables to eat it, a good sound system playing music, and a TV over a fireplace in the corner with couches to lounge by. The girl at the counter was friendly and attentive, and helped us with our order. I decided to try the Super BLT, and my husband got the Cuban. We ordered and sat at a table by the window. There was a drink refrigerator nearby, and we were happy to see that they had aloe juice, so we got a bottle of that, as well. When our sandwiches arrived, I was happy to see that not only were the sandwiches grilled, but also brushed with butter - what?! On the side of both sandwiches were some chips drizzled with a sauce. My husband immediately commented on how AK Alchemist can't be bothered to add any sauce on their fish tacos, yet this place took the time to create a sauce for their chips. The chips and sauce were quite good, by the way. My Super BLT - the French bread was soft, light, and fresh, Toasted/grilled with brushed on butter - wow! The interior - fresh lettuce, tomator and red onion, with perfectly cooked bacon, plus homemade dressing and mayo. Incredible. This was the BEST BLT I've ever had. Period. My husband's Cuban - carnitas perfectly cooked on banana leaves, ham, bacon, jalapenos, provolone, avocado, special sauce, and dijon mustard. Also on grilled french bread, nicely brushed with butter. Wow, so good! To quote my husband, "This is the first place in Anchorage we've been to that I would give 5 stars!" The chef came out to check on us and ask us how everything was. I didn't hesitate to say, "Excellent!", and he knew I meant it. Forget Brown Bag, forget Urban Greens. This is the best sandwich place in Anchorage. Incredible. We will definitely be back, and I will be using them to cater at work. Go. Now!More

This cafe is very under rated. i stop in often and the food is always excellent. Their breakfast is especially good. Alex makes everything to order in front of you and you can custom your order to how you like it. I also regularly buy...their ready made dinner to take home and cook later. He rotates the selection regularly but all of them I have tried have been very good. They have a full coffee menu and free Wifi so it is a quiet place for meetings or to sit on your laptop and work. I hear he is now branching out into Fit meals for those who work out or want to control their nutrition intake, but I have not tried those yet. overall it is a nice place to put on your list of locally owned lunch stopsMore

Ready-made dinners not only has as the title says ready-made dinner it also has some wonderful sandwiches that are quite tasty. Only drawback is usually it takes about 20 minutes for the sandwiches to come out and sometimes that's too long for me to wait...at lunchtimes. Service is great. the gentleman is very kind in those Cuban sandwiches are just perfect. Made fresh to order.More
