We really wanted to like this little café near Pike Street Market but the food was awful! We-four of us- are always on the hunt for that real southern Cajun café and, at first, this seemed to fit the bill. So we stopped in for lunch. The waiter was very polite and helpful, we were seated immediately (usually a red... More

We were looking for a breakfast stop. Happened on this restaurant. Menu looked interesting so we went in. The owners run the place and are friendly. Both meals were delicious. We ordered the red bean omelet and the smoked salmon scramble. They are served with Yukon gold potatoes and toast. I like to drink hot tea and they had a... More

I had the most amazing PoBoy! The jambalaya my wife had was also amazing. Our service was exceptional! Chris took GREAT care of us. He made sure my service dog had his own water (I didn't even have to ask) they made him a burger, welcomed him with open arms and showed him a lot of love. We were never... More

We stopped in for lunch. Having grown up just 100 miles from New Orleans, we know good Cajun food when we have it. This food was passable but nothing exceptional. As far as service... They were friendly enough but we waited 25 minutes for our food (a cup of gumbo and a salad) and the place wasn't busy. But the... More

Stopped in because I had a craving for red beans and rice. The red beans and rice and chicken sausage was very good and the staff was friendly. I enjoyed sitting outside and people watching.

After a night out with my daughter we woke up excited to find a breakfast place in the heart of downtown and we happened upon this place. We were not disappointed. I had the salmon scramble with Yukon potatoes and whole wheat toast and my daughter classic shrimp and grits. The salmon scramble was seasoned perfectly with an added creaminess... More

Excellent food. The owners are super friendly and the food is fairly priced. No frills, terrific value . I'll be back soon!

If you're familiar with Cajun food don't bother, jasmine rice for your jambalaya? Nice folks running the place but authentic it is not!!

family stopped for breakfast. this place has a new orleans feel. small, and tight. the owner is a gentleman of the first order. my gumbo was perfect. my wife, and son loved their choices. everyone in the restaurant seemed quite pleased with their meals as the owner constantly made his way around the restaurant interacting with his customers. loved it!

I just saw another review titled NOT CAJUN, they are correct. Don't fall for that they actually have tables open unlike other restaurants around them, THERE IS A REASON. The locals know DON'T EAT HERE. Dirty atmosphere and limited menu that isn't Cajun or French like the sign says. Lady cooking was so disorganized and slow I had to stop... More
