Funky neighborhood locale with great drinks! This place has nice outdoor space that opens up to the indoor restaurant space making it light and airy.

Loved the experience of sitting in the outdoor section of the restaurant. The open pit with burning coals was a lovely addition- well at least for that cold and windy day. Great cocktails and flavorful food. The Grits cooked with Shrimp, Chinese sausage, brown butter, ginger and Omelet made with Honshimeji mushroom, Chinese celery, truffle oil were divine!

As locals, Joule is a favorite spot. While there is no view, it's especially nice to sit on the small outside deck w/ fire pit (weather permitting). While all the food here is consistently good, we especially like the slightly spicy rice cakes, short ribs w/ kimchi and grilled octopus, which is some of the best in Seattle. Service is... More

Loved the menu. We tried beef tartare, grilled octopus, black sesame noodles and beef short rib with kimchi. Everything was amazing. Can't wait to go back to try more! Atmosphere was fun and modern with eating bar in view of chefs magic, outdoor patio with fire pit and nice bar. Service was excellent. 5 star*****

My son and his girlfriend took me here for dessert while i was visiting them in April to have the Joule box, which is what they are famous for...a dessert containing pearl tapioca, ruby grapefruit brulee and coconut. It's a small serving but is delicious!

This was our last night dinner during our trip. We arrived at 4:55 pm and asked if we might be seated or wait at the bar. We were told "absolutely not" and turned back outside to the sidewalk. We did ask if we could have the corner table on the patio, when the place opened. Then, while we were waiting... More

Had dinner with some business associates and shared several of the starters - tartare, carrots, kimchae, rice cake, bone marrow and cauliflower. The marrow had some heat to it, but each dish was fresh and flavorful. I had the Bavette steak as the main - seasoned well and cooked perfectly.

I went to Joule with a group of 6 people I was working with. This is a very cool restaurant in one of the many trendy neighborhoods of the Seattle area. Here's a rundown on the food, experience and ambiance: Food - The food is inventive, delicious and daring. I have seen labels like "asian" and "french" attached to this... More

We six friends shared a almost perfect meal here. I would give another half star if I could. Not exceptional, but very good. They have a Very Interesting cocktail menu. Those alcohol drinkers at the table highly recommended the ones they got: the one with anise and the Lapsang Souchong-tequila. Unique and daring.. We got all the daring dishes: tartare... More

We came here for brunch on a Sunday and found the menu to be very different and interesting. I had the pancake, which had two eggs on top and was filled with greens. My sister had the chorizo, which had a Korean twist to it. Both were good. It's a lively restaurant and the clientele was a younger crowd. The... More
