We ordered various sushi. The rice was a little "hard", the seafood was not fresh, but the taste was okay. The miso soup was luke warm. It should have been hot. Some fresh cut green onions would have been great. Also had teriyaki beef and pork tonkatsu. It was good and plentiful. Overall I would give Kozue a 3.5 grade.... More

we went for a date night and I was surprised by the excellent sushi, service, and atmosphere. We sat in their covered patio area and it was the perfect feeling of being outside without being cold! The staff was so nice! The Happy Hour was great for our appetizers, Broccoli Tempura (very good!) and Albacore poke salad (great as well).... More

This is a family run Japanese restaurant, that specializes in home-made meals which are delicious and not pricey. I would recommend their chirashi sushi which comes with home made pickles

Every time I go back to Seattle, I have to go to Kozue. It's my favorite in the area. Too bad Seattle is too far away from Italy ...

We went to Kozue for the first time since we had passed it often and thought it would be worth looking into. It was a disappointment, though not a disaster. My husband started with agadashi tofu, which we agreed was not up to snuff. I had vegetable goyaza. The filling was OK, bit the skin was thick and pasty. Next... More

On our trip to Seattle last week we would have been overwhelmed by the choices for sushi, except that we stayed in great private vacation home only 4 blocks from 45th in Wallingford and Kozue came recommended by our hosts both for quality and proximity. We ambled down and though it was a Friday night were able to get a... More

We've tried all the Japanese spots up and down 45th. For a straight forward meal, lunch or dinner, at reasonable prices, good quality food with a decent selection of sushi, tempura, noodle or rice dishes or salads, Kozui is our new go-to place. The bento box is huge at just under $13 and excellent. Beef and rice noodle salad was... More

My wife and I were driving on 45th avenue today and we decided to stop here for lunch. The service was good. I ordered the black cod bento box. The black cod was a little rubbery, but otherwise good. The tempura was crispy, but a little oily. The negiri was excellent, rolls were great as well. Portions are generous and... More

Great sushi and Japanese delicacies in a modest establishment in the Wallingford neighborhood. Especially nice in good weather when their small deck is available for outdoor, casual dining. Come for the early menu happy hour treats. Many fine small dishes at reasonable prices.

How did we miss this one before now? We were bored with our neighborhood sushi, which isn't bad but nothing exciting, so decided to drive over to Wallingford for lunch. We ended up at Kozue because we found a parking spot nearby and since it was crowded decided to give it a try. We shared a California roll, and then... More
