Larsen's isn't on the corner of 24th and 80th in Seattle. I had the ham and cheese croissant; it was buttery and delicious this is a gem.

Authentic Danish bakery. You must try the Kringle. They have amazing donuts and other pastries, too.

Most everything is wonderful here - but the cardamon bread and rolls are the bomb. My favorite sweet pastry is the sour cherry strudel. Hint: day olds are bagged on the shelf to the far right - 50% off. A steal. We come home with our suitcases loaded with treats from Larsen's.

Danish bakeries happen to be one foodie area that I have deep roots in. I grew up surrounded by the best of the best in this category, so the high ratings and crowds within this bakery enticed me to come inside. Not to mention, they claimed to have Kringle, which is not so easy to find. I ordered several things... More

Visit Seattle every now and again and always make an effort to stop for Kringle. Loving the recent remodel of the bakery; however, the Kringle has somewhat suffered through their change in that there is much less yummy almond filling and the counter staff rushed customers attempting to decide what of the tons of goodness they wanted behind the delight-filled... When you need something for your sweet tooth and want a truly Ballard experience, Larsen's Bakery is the spot. Recently remodeled to expand their kitchen, display and seating areas, Larsen's continues to be the destination for pastry-craving pilgrims. Whether you need a cuppa tea, or coffee in assorted forms, accompanying pastries--savory or sweet, bread for the family, or fancifully adorned... More

This is the place to purchase Scandinavian pastries just like in europe. You can't go wrong here. I got the Kringle to have for company and they said it was like being in europe.

I would compare this to a bakery like back East..only it's Scandinavian instead of Italian! Excellent cinnamon bread, Breads, pastries. Look for the day old in the back corner hidden next to window!

Being Danish, I am always suspicious of "Danish" pastry. This place is the real deal and brings back memories for those of us who have lived in Denmark. The rolls, the pastries, the cakes, it's all the real thing. The items are top notch quality, so order a few different items, a cup of coffee and sit down and enjoy.... More

Wow, thank you for taking me back to the good memories of my grandmother's Kringle, in Denmark of cause. I also recommend Larsen's "te birkes" and the Ryebread.
