No matter how often I go I always enjoy having a meal at Tamarind Tree. Now the the new Seattle trolley is running it's easier to get there without a car. The food is very good and considering the quality and quantity a great value. Highly recommend a visit.

Nice Ambience. Creative food. Excellent spring rolls. The Pha was too large for one person but tasty. Eggplant sate was a wonderful surprise

I love this restaurant! If you have never been before the restaurant is located in the back corner of a parking log. Often times there are dumpsters and garbage littering the parking lot. Do not over think it, just head into the restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant does not look that large but off to the left they have an... More

We had rolls, satays-chicken and mushroom, papaya salad, short ribs an grilled chicken with lemon leaves. Everything was flavorful and reasonably priced.

Seattle has always been home to the ethnic cultures from across the Pacific, and they have settled here and brought with them an amazing variety of cultural heritage, which is almost best expressed in the wide diversity of culinary tastes that they have imparted to their new home. Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese (to name a few) foods abound, in many... More

So other folks speak to the neighborhood. My host told me her story that she was bringing a nyc foodie here and after parking he said the food MUST be good because it sure isn't the view. Perfect really. Interior of restaurant is lovely. Full bar with great specialty drinks. I am not familiar with Vietnamese food but everything ordered... More

Tamarind Tree is a Vietnamese restaurant in Seattle’s Asian district. You won’t find Asian fusion here. Tamarind Tree is a true to form Vietnamese restaurant. That means they have a huge menu, quality & fresh dishes, and spotty service. My Overall Rating – 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere – Tamarind Tree is hard to find. Look for the... More

Unfortunately this is a fabulous restaurant in a sketchy part of town. Warning signs about locking all valuables in your trunk are posted a couple times as you enter the restaurant. Despite that, the interior of the restaurant is great, the kitchen open and the food is served promptly and delicious. We shared the skewered grilled pork rolls, the lemongrass... More

If you haven't tried this Vietnamese spot, you are in for treat. They have a terrific menu and are very careful with their food. Highly recommended and worth a drive.

I'm Vietnamese, an inveterate Yelper, and the type of person to seek out food as the main attraction on my trips. Tamarind Tree is my favorite Viet place in Seattle! The bun cha Ha Noi (bbq pork sausage summer noodles) is particularly beguiling. The "beef seven ways" 7-dish meal is what you get on days of gluttonous inclination. For dessert,... More
