Great place to be. Hip, trendy, modern place in the heart of Belltown. Parking is street only. They do take credit card. We originally did make reservations on Open Table. However, when we made changes to the time, we did not officially click it thru. So when we arrived, we were told we had to wait. The 2 hostesses were... More

The quality of the fish is everything in a sushi place. Umi is well above average. The product is fresh and well prepared. The Creativity expressed would not be welcome in Japan, but here in the US it is expected. We came for happy hour and got a very good value on some basic rolls, sashimi and beer. We liked... More

I was jonezing for some fresh sushi while in town and our local friends took us to Umi. Great ambiance and setting. The menu was superb as far as unique rolls and some twists on the classics. The tempura lobster was amazing. Great vegetarian roll options too (the ladybug was my favorite). There weren't so many options for picky eaters... More

Great sushi all around. We went with the Omakase 32 piece and 10 rolls. The portions were good size on the rolls and the taste was fantastic. Lots to choose from and none of them disappointed. It was recommended by a local and I would definitely return here again when I come back.

We were exhausted from a long day of travel from Tampa, FL to Seattle, but everyone in our party was thrilled by the food quality, ambiance and especially the sake cocktails! Really a special restaurant and bar.

Went there after reading a review of being one of the best sushi places in Seattle. Fish is really fresh and prepared beautifully. They have happy hour 4-6 with plenty on the menu. The place is expensive, but quality justifies it. Will be back.

Enjoyed taking my son and his girlfriend to an early weeknight dinner here. Seattle traffic was bustling as to be expected so parked far enough to get in a decent walk in the beautiful late afternoon summer weather. Happy hour was still in session and enjoyed our choices. Tasty dishes! Busy place, but it was laid out nicely so it... More

Sushi is creative and big but some combination are odd. It's actually fair price for the portions. Issues is the f you dumping all the food fast at once at the table. No way sushi is made this fast. Odd Too loud too rushed. Pass
