Vivace is my favorite place to go for a delicious mocha. This location is towards the north end of Broadway on Capitol Hill. On nice days they open the "door". There is indoor and outdoor seating. If you love coffee I highly recommend a visit

Had the Macchiato- was very reasonably priced and a good cup of expresso. Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly people.

... we stopped in at Espresso Vivace because Joe Bar was too crowded. But after our considerable tour of Seattle roasters, EV's latte was our favorite. Perfect balance of coffee and cream. Plenty of seating inside and out, and a great location on Broadway.

My first impressions of this shop were really great. The baristas were friendly and very interactive and the shop's aesthetics were great. I love that they have a glass room that is much quieter for people wanting to work (maybe meetings too?) But when it came to the actual espresso I was not impressed. The shot was extremely under extracted... More

I found this coffee shop somewhat by accident. But it produces some great coffee. It is now my favorite coffee shop. I travel there maybe a couple times of month just to get some of their coffee. Some great baristas as well--especially one guy--don't know his name. It is now my favorite coffee shop. And just comfortable to sit and... More

Though the original cafe is gone and the walk up stand down the street is just as good, the newest space combines them both for the best espresso experience in Seattle. The baristas are first rate, the pastries delightful, and the coffee simply rocks. A true destination for our tourist friends and none have been disappointed. Hang out a while... More

I'm rarely on Capitol Hill these days but I do love Vivace Roasteria. It was the first coffee shop I ever went to where they made patterns in the foam before it became popular. Their roaster is right there in the middle of the coffeeshop and the coffee is rich and smooth.

The coffee here rivals/surpasses anything I have had in 36 different countries. The roast, grind & pour of each drink is exquisite

For years, always a prefect shot with heavenly crema. Anything made with milk is equally amazing. In particular I really love their macchiato. Service is efficient and professional. Whenever I go I alway pick up a bag of whole been coffee (Dolce & Vita) as I find it to be the best for my espresso at home. I live right... More

Forget Star $$$. For great coffee, head right to Vivace. Dave, the founder, is a giant among coffee roasters, and his passion is everywhere. Great coffee, excellent pastries.
