We arrived in Seattle, checked in to hotel, then went to eat at brunch at Steelhead. The chowder was so good I had to share with my wife. She had the beet salad which was a meal for her. I had king salmon cooked rare and it was the best. We couldn't pass up the chocolate pecan pie.

This place saved us! We were able to get seats at the bar with their normal menu service on new years eve at the last minute. Thank you so much Steelhead Diner!

1st look: unpretentious place with a bistro-style one page menu. Was ready for a quick dinner & went for the early bird special. Price appeared reasonable at $19.95. Picking an entrée ($10) + appetizer ($22-30) will set you back $30. One third pricing was a deal. Menu was different than the one online. Endive & grapefruit salad was a good... More

Steelhead was one of the few restaurants open on a Wednesday night past 7:00. I was shocked at how closed up the area was at night. Steelhead is located down a side street near the Port Alley entrance. It has a fun decor. The bar sits in front of the windows which creates a nice view. The ceiling is high... More

We had the brunch on Sunday. One of use with the eggs overeasy with grits and the other with the Kilt Lifter Fish and Chips. We had been walking forever, so with our level of hunger scoring high should have been easy. Unfortunately bland and lifeless are the best score I can these brunch items. The were cooked correctly but... More

Took an recommendation and a trip advisor search but we jumped in on Thursday night at 7 ish. We did not have a reservation and was seated immediately. Nice vibe, clean and very good atmosphere. We settled in and got our drinks. Our waitress was knowledgeable and funny. We ordered the not to miss Dungeness crab with shrimp tater tots... More

This was recommended to us from the Savor Seattle Food Tour and we were happy to try it out for lunch. They have these amazing crab and shrimp tater tots to start and then a nice brunch selection. I tried their gumbo with a salad and it was amazing. My friend raved about the fish and chips. This will definitely... More

Our recent visit here was very pleasant from start to finish. All of the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about their offerings, and the view of the market really contributed to the ambiance. Their menu, although somewhat small, was full of great flavors, including fresh seafood and salads.

We opted for the dine around Seattle prix fixe menu. Between the two of us we got the squash soup, polenta fries, mussels, chicken, espresso cheesecake, and chocolate pecan pie. Everything was excellent, and for $22 per three course menu, it is one of the best values I've seen in a restaurant in a very long time. The polenta fries... More

We stopped here for lunch after seeing Dungeness Crab tater tots on the menu! They are LARGE tots and enough to share for a group. They were delicious. I ordered the clams and the were fresh and tasty. My friend ordered the fish and chips and the portion was huge and really good. The atmosphere is light and airy with... More
